Amazing that we survived our childhoods. We forgave easily and, to the best of my recollection, no one called the police if the only damage was to dermal layers....
How soon before the mother sues the "throw rocks at boys" t-shirt maker.
Also, if this had been reversed and it was a boy responding to girls, he would be subject to feminst demands that he be immediatly lobotimized, castrated and then really punished by being guilotined.
As for the language issue, welcome to the USA. convenient how the paper does not mention that none of the people have tried to learn english.

I wouldn't assume that these children are illegal immigrants, nor the children of illegal immigrants, not without more information. However, I'm appalled that the police would grab a little girl, handcuff her, throw in the squad car, for throwing a rock at a little boy who was "bullying her with water balloons", whatever that means. And the prosector isn't interested in a plea bargain? Hey, let's throw the book at this pint-sized violent felon!
Was the little girl some kind of incorrigable juvenile with a record of violent crimes? Geeze, normally one would think that such an episode would be dealt with privately - not with handcuffs, detention, and a trial.
Unfortuantely someone called 911 which brought in the authorities.
I think everyone here is pretty sanguine and maybe you would be exactly this laid back if it were your child hit in the forehead with a rock. But....I'm not so sure! :)
