A medical examiner office in Louisville, Ky., is conducting autopsies to determine whether two inmates whose bodies were found in a landfill were crushed to death.
Investigators believe the inmates may have been loaded into a garbage truck from a dumpster.
Authorities think the men were hiding in the dumpster after escaping Wednesday from the Kentucky State Reformatory in La Grange.

Too bad we can't administer this kind of death penalty to countless other murderers, rapists, child abusers, etc.

This is unconscionable.
Federal OSHA regulations must be immediately amended to require electronic scream detectors in the cargo spaces of all garbage trucks, which detectors must be wired to interlock the compression mechanism.

One of these creeps broke in a house in the night and raped a 17 year old girl 2 years ago. Her dad was interviewed on Lexington local TV last night and was overjoyed at this change of events. He had sent his daughter out of town when they heard of his escape. The poor girl and her family had been terrified.

Kentucky Corrections officials say they expect the incident to deter future escape attempts. I'm waiting for the lawsuit against "Kentucky Corrections officials", the trash haulers, the manufacturer of the trash compactor and whomever else is in sight. More reasons to hate lawyers.
