Sounds like a terror threat.

Yeah...all those cops that died on 9-11 were looking for donuts.

Good thing I didn't wait to get on that train at 5 pm. It was a nightmare then and I can't imagine what it's like now. I dodged a big bullet!

Penn Station is a pretty big place. I wonder what's up.

These days there are more guardsmen that cops I think. I don't know what guardsmen eat though :-) It was packed as heck this afternoon.

NY's Penn Station shut down due to "police activity"I was in a subway in midtown Manhatten, 9AM, on 9/11/01, and the voice over the intercom said almost exactly the same thing with respect to the WTC.
To: Pharmboy
They didn't say "terror threat", they said "police activity". There usually is a difference.

it could be a track fire - that happens alot, sometimes the smoke condition means everyone has to get out.

Back in the early 60's...I slept a few nights in Penn Station.

You're too funny for words...most of these alerts prove to be false alarms, but the real thing is a b*tch. My son is NYPD and he never eats doughnuts...and puts his life on the line avery day, FYI.

Seriously? I never heard that story. How ironic! No wonder it wasn't touted in the press.
