The Democrat position in a nutshell:

"I support our troops -- and want them to suffer a bloody and humiliating defeat shortly before the next election."

Been there, did that. Everyone should visit it: http://www.americasupportsyou.mil/ I didn't even get to hear the speech. I found it from reading through the live thread here on FR, and just sent a message to the troops.

We're in the midst of moving across country. As soon as we're settled next week, I hope to get involved in some pro-troop activities, care packages, etc.

"WeI just don't have a clue what the criteria for success is. People are still willing to give the president time if he would just level with them." -

It's 1953
"Most Americans are torn - we know we have to fight a strong war on terror against Communism, but at the same time, nobody sees a light at the end of the tunnel. It is not enough for the president to say 'stay the course' and make a few minor adjustments. The president needs to lay out a concrete plan." - Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.
