Absolutely. Hillary will use it to show religious people how she is loved by Rev. Graham. She used him for political purposes and is going to get away with it.

Cardinal O'Connor, on the other hand, would not show up in a public place if Bill Clinton was there. God rest that good man's soul.

It was dumb and will be used in an ad if she chooses to run in 2008, bank on it.

That is exactly what the mainstream media is doing. This is going to play in the red states and make people believe that she is not really Satan's Daughter.

I also agree, we should not take it too seriously. Remember Mark 2:17- "Jesus heard the words, and He said, "It is not the healthy who require a doctor, but the sick: I did not come to appeal to the righteous, but to sinners."

I agree with you and I can't figure out how the minister could stand to be on the same stage with him.
I can only guess he's out of his mind now on some level.

Cardinal's Dying Wish: Keep Clinton Out of St. Patrick's

As Cardinal O'Connor battled brain cancer and faced death
during the past eight months, he remained steadfast in his
distaste of Bill Clinton.

A source close to the Cardinal tells NewsMax.com that
O'Connor had a long-standing order to keep Bill Clinton out
of St. Patrick's Cathedral _ no matter how important the
occasion.

Last week the White House announced that both Bill and
Hillary Clinton would be attending the Cardinal's funeral
mass at St. Patrick's, set for Monday afternoon.

"O'Connor would have gone berserk if he knew Clinton was
coming," the source said.

O'Connor was said to be extremely hostile to Clinton, a man
who annoyed him on several levels. O'Connor had been a
veteran, a Navy Admiral who had served in the military and
in the front lines of Vietnam.

Clinton's draft avoidance record didn't sit well with the
Cardinal, nor did Clinton's corruption.

O'Connor was also annoyed with Clinton's strong advocacy of
partial birth abortion _ a procedure O'Connor likened to
infanticide.

O'Connor's animus toward the president erupted after the
crash of TWA Flight 800 in 1996.

In the days after the tragedy, Mayor Giuliani had organized
a memorial service for the victims' families at JFK
Airport.

Cardinal O'Connor was set to officiate, until he found out
Clinton planned on attending.

"If Clinton is coming, you can count me out," O'Connor's
office bluntly told the mayor's office.

Clinton was quickly disinvited.

A month or so after the crash, O'Connor hosted his own
memorial mass at St. Patrick's for the victims. Clinton was
in New York that weekend for a birthday party and the White
House called the Archdiocese and asked if he could attend.

The answer from the Cardinal's Office was blunt: Bill
Clinton is not welcome at St. Patrick's.

Leave it to those two to set up a situation where they could manufacture a self-serving "sound bite" from a respected individual.

The Clintons are demonic. Bill used a Bataan survivor to avoid the draft. They are now using a well-respected religious figure. This is disgusting.

I appreciate your opinion as one who was there. That's all it sounded like to me, with no attending endorsement even implied. This is starting to look like the aftermath of Laura Bush's jokes at the White House Correspondents' Dinner (or whatever the event was).

I have listened to Billy Graham since I was teenager. I love the fact that he can share the Lord Jesus Christ in such a clear way.

I went forward in one of his meeting to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I will always be grateful to Billy Graham for that.

Over the last few years I have been very disappointed to see and hear Mr.Graham exploited by the clinton's. I am saddened that he would use this crusade to suggest that hillary should be president of our great nation. I think it is time for him to let his son Franklin take over.

I have had--and still have--high regard for Billy Graham, without worshiping the man. I am confident he has spoken out to more people about sin and righteousness than I ever have. Including the most corrupt and unrepentant co-presidents ever, the Clintons.

No doubt Billy Graham has urged the Clintons to repent, privately at least. And the Clintons in public acknowledge God's Word, even claim to be religious, etc. (Bible-thumping, reference to prayer, faith etc. without evidence of true repentance, of course).

I probably would have not been so kind as Billy in his joking, nor would I have given them a position of honor on my dais. Nevertheless, God works in mysterious ways and there is a judgment day coming.

Maybe we can concur that few of us at FR would have done and said what Billy did, yet it was surely meant as a joke, most students of Graham would know he sought to use appropriate humor. That humor didn't fly with a lot of us. Yes, Billy should have given America a Barf Alert before that joke! Let's forgive Billy's poor judgment in this case, stop bashing Billy Graham--and START bashing dead and illegal voters and ESPECIALLY those they 'vote' for--people like the DNC Senators who plot to get more Marxist judges doing what SCOTUS did today.

Billy Graham has one thing right: you have to change the inner man before the outer behavior changes. And only God can bring about true change--usually influencing people WITH imperfect people like Billy Graham, Mother Teresa, Dwight Moody and Albert Schweitzer. The Church isn't a hotel for saints, it's a hospital for sinners. Glad I've got a bed there, figuratively speaking--it's eternal healthcare of a type that Hillary clearly doesn't understand or honestly care about.

Glad I'm forgiven.

Best FReegards and God Bless Billy Graham.

Maybe, but with age should come wisdom.

We all know nothing stops them doing 'anything'. They interpret kindness as weakness.

I'm glad my original take on this was correct. Of course Billy Graham wasn't seriously endorsing Hillary...he was complimenting a former president, and I bet he would have said the same thing to President Bush. The distorted reaction to this event reminded me of Trent Lott's similiar attempt to compliment an old man and how that got distorted into a weapon to bring down Lott. Shame shame on the Clinton's and their msm friends for turning Reverand Graham's kind words into a cheap political photo op. But no problem....I think the American people are smart enough to figure this one out.

He's heaping hot coals upon their heads. I wish he and GWB wouldn't, as much, but my advice is actually the opposite of what God calls us to do to our enemies.

You're right,moreso, in that setting.

However, I'd be very worried come 2008.

it's a from cry from "judging the sins of everyone else' to what he implied by his statement.

He could have recognized them and said NOTHING else. This event had nothing to do with them. It's wasn't a social event - it was a spiritual event. No man should be lifted up in any way....even in a joke.

I happen to be Catholic Doug. I don't think any form of Christian could be practicing and vote Democrat these days, much less approve of any Clinton.

IMO, the only Catholics or other types of Christians that vote Democrat these days are either doing so out of family history and being lazy, or they are Christian in name only.

Pro abortion is not Christian.
Their behavior to get jail terms on staff at the travel office wasn't Christian.
The practices with going after people with the IRS, interns and all the rest of it wasn't Christian.

I don't know about not being Christian, but it was also stupid to not take Bin Laden or to give away rocket and missile guidance technology to China.

The Democrat party in general is the party of humanism and is against anything Christian, or pro America IMO.

Not speaking ill of anyone?

Therein lies the problem.

There are very definite rights and wrongs when it comes to morality.

There are absolutes, my friend.
