Hillary Spokesman: Don't Give Ed Klein Airtime - (Hillary "totally controls" networks!)

Senator Hillary Clinton's office is actively trying to discourage interviewers from giving TV time to Ed Klein, author of the controversial bestseller "The Truth About Hillary," Washington Post media critic Howard Kurtz confirmed on Sunday.

"A spokesman for Senator Clinton told me that when news organizations call, they do make the argument, why give this guy airtime," Kurtz said, while hosting CNN's "Reliable Sources."

Kurtz's comment is the first by a mainstream journalist acknowledging that Sen. Clinton is actively trying to suppress Klein's book in a campaign first reported by NewsMax Monday morning. After being booked on numerous TV Shows, Klein has been hit with a tidal wave of cancellations, with only one show - Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" - bucking the pressure to ignore the book.

Cable TV network sources contacted by NewsMax on Friday, however, said they hadn't been pressured to drop Klein.

Buffalo News columnist Douglas Turner suggested last week, however, that Mrs. Clinton has much of the press under her thumb, saying she "totally controls" their agenda.

"Her media operation is tightly controlled and highly protective, and not always responsive," he wrote.

"Clinton has met with the New York press corps only a couple of times since 2000," Turner noted. "By contrast with [her predecessor, Sen. Pat Moynihan's] regimen, where the reporters had a share in the agenda, Clinton totally controls it."

Oh yeah, Hillary is going to look like Golda Meir or Madeleine Albright by election time.

Or gets a lift and looks like Pelosi or Runaway Bride.

It was ever thus. Gary Aldrich was denied an appearance on any TV shows.

The MSM is proud to acknowledge they're protecting the heinous one.

GOEBBELS' PRINCIPLES OF PROPAGANDA

JOSEPH GOEBBELS

1897 -1945

Based upon Goebbels' Principles of Propaganda by Leonard W. Doob, published in Public Opinion and Propaganda; A Book of Readings edited for The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues.

1. Propagandist must have access to intelligence concerning events and public opinion.
2. Propaganda must be planned and executed by only one authority.
a. It must issue all the propaganda directives.
b. It must explain propaganda directives to important officials and maintain their morale.
c. It must oversee other agencies' activities which have propaganda consequences
3. The propaganda consequences of an action must be considered in planning that action.
4. Propaganda must affect the enemy's policy and action.
a. By suppressing propagandistically desirable material which can provide the enemy with useful intelligence
b. By openly disseminating propaganda whose content or tone causes the enemy to draw the desired conclusions
c. By goading the enemy into revealing vital information about himself
d. By making no reference to a desired enemy activity when any reference would discredit that activity
5. Declassified, operational information must be available to implement a propaganda campaign
6. To be perceived, propaganda must evoke the interest of an audience and must be transmitted through an attention-getting communications medium.
7. Credibility alone must determine whether propaganda output should be true or false.
8. The purpose, content and effectiveness of enemy propaganda; the strength and effects of an expose; and the nature of current propaganda campaigns determine whether enemy propaganda should be ignored or refuted.
9. Credibility, intelligence, and the possible effects of communicating determine whether propaganda materials should be censored.
10. Material from enemy propaganda may be utilized in operations when it helps diminish that enemy's prestige or lends support to the propagandist's own objective.
11. Black rather than white propaganda may be employed when the latter is less credible or produces undesirable effects.
12. Propaganda may be facilitated by leaders with prestige.
13. Propaganda must be carefully timed.
a. The communication must reach the audience ahead of competing propaganda.
b. A propaganda campaign must begin at the optimum moment
c. A propaganda theme must be repeated, but not beyond some point of diminishing effectiveness
14. Propaganda must label events and people with distinctive phrases or slogans.
a. They must evoke desired responses which the audience previously possesses
b. They must be capable of being easily learned
c. They must be utilized again and again, but only in appropriate situations
d. They must be boomerang-proof
15. Propaganda to the home front must prevent the raising of false hopes which can be blasted by future events.
16. Propaganda to the home front must create an optimum anxiety level.
a. Propaganda must reinforce anxiety concerning the consequences of defeat
b. Propaganda must diminish anxiety (other than concerning the consequences of defeat) which is too high and which cannot be reduced by people themselves
17. Propaganda to the home front must diminish the impact of frustration.
a. Inevitable frustrations must be anticipated
b. Inevitable frustrations must be placed in perspective
18. Propaganda must facilitate the displacement of aggression by specifying the targets for hatred.
19. Propaganda cannot immediately affect strong counter-tendencies; instead it must offer some form of action or diversion, or both.

After being booked on numerous TV Shows, Klein has been hit with a tidal wave of cancellations, with only one ...

Wouldn't it help this report and the "Hilary runs the networks" theory if we got a list of all radio/TV stations that comprise the "tidal waves" of cancellation?

That would remove the accusation from the hearsay to the verifiable.

I think we need to contact the enetworks and ask to hear Ed Klein.

Next thing would be to contact the advertisers.

You are right. From what I heard, this book doesn't dwell on the "Bill raped hillary" story either, it's an aside to a different story altogether. Meanwesttexan prolly hasn't read it, and is just commenting on media's descriptions of it.
Klein says that it's hard not to mention other stories which were written about her, but that's not the trust of his book, it's not just a rehash of things already written.

So I've heard, LoL!

About one coffee's length in Barnes & Noble, where I left the book, after watching Klien himself on Hannity.

Drudge misread that portion of the book. He did not mean literally that Bill raped Hillary, it was Bill joking about Hillary's lack of interest in him intimately.

Well I can think of a campaign slogan out of this.

Montage of all the Nasty filthy stories(lies) the media spred thru our Radios, TV's, and print about President Bush. "President Bush was subjected to vicious smear campaigns by the Democrats in Congress and by organizations like Move-On. org, supported by Billionaire george Soros. Dan Rather even used the CBS broadcat network to diseminate Fake documents against President Bush.

Cut to picture of Bush and Laura walking hand in hand.

Senator Hillary Clinton is asking for your vote to be your next Presiden, yet when an author Ed Klein publishes a book called "The Truth about Hillary. does the Senator stand dignified and unresponsive to this book. No, she immediately starts a campaign to muzzle this author and prevent the American Public from reviewing the book and make their own decision as to whether they will purchase and read the book.

Cut to the supreme court. Senator Clinton has refused to support a anti-flag burning amendment,

Cut to statement

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., revealed that she would vote against the measure. "I don't believe a constitutional amendment is the answer," Clinton, a possible presidential candidate in 2008, said in a statement.

apparently Sen Clinton has caveats in her support of the Freedom of speech issue. Is this the type of tyranical, vindictive person that should be sitting in the oval office.

Haven't we had enough of the Democrat obstruction in Washington. If an author is a target of her rage for using his constitutional right to publish a book, what can we expect when it cames time to deal with political issues the Senator does not agree with.

Frredom of speech applies to everyone Senator Clinto. Not just to those with whom you agree.

Kind of misread.

According to the story ---- and I say "story" ---- it's very unclear whether he was allegedly joking or simply stating that she would be unwilling, but could be pressured.

Regardless, it's salacious.

Didn't take very long to see what the book was about, especially given Klien's own words on the subject.

It is not exactly "Atlas Shrugged."

This is very alarming to me, too. This is just an example of what America will be like if she gets into the White House.
