Graham called the Clintons "wonderful friends" and "a great couple," quipping that the former president should become an evangelist and allow "his wife to run the country."

"Graham called the Clintons "wonderful friends" and "a great couple,"......"

Anyone that thinks that the Clintons are wonderful friends should talk to Vince Foster and Webster Hubble. 'Cpouse they would have to dig Vince up.
There is no doubt in my mind that this was, on the Clinton's part that is, nothing by a calculated move in the ongoing quest to make Hillary synonomous with 'moderate' and 'centrist'.
That someone in Graham's condition might not see this doesn't surprise me, but that his son doesn't see this does.
I just hope that if they try to use a clip or photo of this in her campaign ads that Billy (if he's still around God willing) or his son will publicly repudiate them for it.
I agree.
We can only hope. Because they (she) WILL use it.
George Allen will decimate Hitlery in 08.

He supposedly has excessive fluid on the brain. I'd say he's gone soft in the head. Graham is a man of character, but he's no judge of character.
... he meant to say, "Let Hillary Flee the country!"
he's getting old...
"It does not change my belief, however, that Sen. Clinton will employ his words in her campaign for the White House."
You are correct, and I agree with you.
One of the things about Dr. Graham is that he
treats everyone the same--friend or otherwise.
It doesn't surprise me to see the way he
treated the Clintons. My own opinion is that
both Clintons deserve to have their fannies
royally kicked. That I feel that way is why
I have a long, long way to go to achieve the
kind of maturity that Dr. Graham has grown to.
So you would agree that merely being registered as a Democrat doesn't mean one is a member of the looney left.
Which in the context of this article means that it doesn't mean Billy Graham is. He has spoken out against abortion numerous times, although always in that classic Billy Graham, gentle way. Other than that, he generally keeps quiet about political issues and concentrates on that to which he has been called - preaching the gospel.
It's a shame when those who call themselves conservatives do the same kind of thing that the looney left does - take a quip and twist it into something dark and disturbing.
FBI files will buy a lot of loyalty.
Well then you hang out with a very pathetic, unsure, bunch of clergyman. God fearing men who are obedient can be sure and certain that they are going to heaven.
Onyx said he was perplexed because The Reverend Billy Graham basically sucked up to Bill Clinton. What's new? He defended Bill Clinton when Clinton was outed with Monica. Graham said Clinton was a very handsome man and women constantly fall at his feet. Do Baptists ordinarily stick up for adulterers, giving them an excuse? If they are Democrats, which Graham is, they do. His own son Franklin said that his father was a Democrat but Franklin said he himself was a Republican.
This was the final straw. I think the Rev. Billy Graham has totally lost his marbles. Endorsing New-Age minister Rick Warren is further proof.

I've always admired the good Rev. He has always "warm and fuzzied" up to presidents of both parties. I think maybe his words of kindness are a little stretched at times. Pigs will Fly when Mrs. Clinton is fit to run this country.........blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
"Run the country into the ground."
Well, that would be the first phase on the road to hell.
It is reminescent of Senator Lotts innocent remark at Senator Thurmands hundredth birthday. Lucky for Rev Graham, that his statement, unlike Lotts, will be viewed favorably by the liberal left and it's MSM.
You could search the US with a tweezer and a flood light in broad daylight for the next century and not find a worse candidate for the WH than HC
I'd be interested in knowing where I could read the quote from Billy Graham that says Bill Clinton was a handsome man and women would fall at his feet. This is the first I've heard of it.
