When Howard Dean made any number of his outlandish attacks on Republicans, Senator Hillary Clinton described Republicans as "people who have never been acquainted with the truth" and Dick Durbin slimed servicemen by equating detainee treatment at Guantanamo with Nazis and the Soviet gulag, the broadcast network evening and morning shows ignored the remarks, or got to them fleetingly months or a week or so later. But when Karl Rove, the White House Deputy Chief-of-Staff, observed that "liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding to our attackers," the networks pounced within hours. ABC's World New Tonight, which had never shown the allegations from Clinton or Durbin, jumped on Rove.

It seems that there is yet again a big-time example of journalistic bias from the liberal MSM.

I think you make a great point .. and knowing that Rove is such a great architect of the conservative agenda .. he could have said it to bring them out of hiding.
Also .. when Durbin made his disgusting statement, the President's brother, Marvin, told a group of people he'd never seen the President so mad - and "the gloves have come off". When Rove made his statement .. I wondered if this was just part of it .. an opportunity to expose the REAL democrats/liberals.
Today on Fox News Sunday - Brit really nailed it! The last line of Rove's speech was - "No more needs to be said about the motives of liberals," Rove said. Well .. at the end of the program - while the panel was discussing the media's lack of interest in the Durbin statement - but pounced on the Rove statement .. BRIT SAID THIS: "No more needs to be said about the motives of the media".
WHOOOHOOOOO!! The rest of the panel tried to protest - but the program was out of time .. he he he he he!
When John McCain was the FIRST senator to hit the microphone after Durbin's NON-apology, and practically kissed him for being so "brave",
I about puked...and it gave any REpublican senator after that to look like he/she was contributing to the division in the PARTY, by getting too upset...
Just like he did when he formed the Gang of 14, McCain put the REP leadership in a box...either way, he comes out smelling like a rose (pardon the term, ROT,) with the MSM!!!
i can't watch that show. It is not even funny. It is just one DUmmie wet dream after another. The sooner it is cancelled and replaced, the better.

Why should CBS have learned their lesson? The public still hasn't got a clue. I talk to people every single day who believe that the network news is the gospel. They don't realize it isn't news at all, it is instead propaganda for the extreme left. They are brilliant at this. I am beyond disgusted at the entire thing.
It's not that cBS and the other liberal outlets haven't learned their lesson, they just don't care. They are gonna continue to pump out Dem Party talking points until the Dems win an election. And even after that. Look, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN all more or less represent the Democrat Party. They are outlets of that party. What do people not get?
Rather tried to take out Bush 50 days before the election with fradulent documents! None of those networks ever covered a single charge made by the Swift Boat Vets. Durban the Turban received minimal, if any, coverage.
NPR and PBS openly campaign for Democrat candidates in election after election. So none of the stuff reported in this article are a surprise.
