Vigilantes Torch Ohio House Where Girl Was Raped

HAMILTON, Ohio -- Vigilante justice seems to have taken over in the community where a 9-year-old girl was raped Monday, reported Cincinnati television station WLWT.

Someone set fire Tuesday evening to the house where the attack occurred. Six Mexican immigrants were renting the house, and neighbors believe the attacker lived there, WLWT reported.

Racial tensions rose high after the attack, with some angry residents threatening to burn down the house and take other retaliation against Hispanics in the area. Someone had spray-painted "Rapest" (sic) and "Child Molester" on the house.

The victim's father asked people to let police handle the situation.

"They probably mean well, but they're taking everything in their own hands and they should leave it in the police's hands," the father said.

One neighbor told WLWT the community just wants justice. Some neighbors are alarmed that the alleged attacker is still on the loose.

"They're just trying to get a suspected predator off the streets," Eric Price said. "Everybody's outraged. I can't even believe it myself."

Hamilton police Detective Mark Hayes said vigilantes interfere with police efforts to find the attacker.

"Something like this takes away from the investigation. Now we have another serious crime," Hayes said.

Police searched about a dozen places for the alleged attacker, the station reported. About 50 people gathered at one home while police surrounded and searched it.

Police said they know who they are looking for, but they won't release his name or a sketch because of fear of retaliation, WLWT reported.

"We need concrete information from the public making an identification," Officer Don Taylor said. "Once we do, we will try to get a picture and make a positive identification."

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 22 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a tattoo on his inner forearm.

The fire did a lot of damage to the house and melted the siding on the house next door.

First of all, the rape of a nine year old girl is enough to infuriate anybody. What if it turns out that the predator is here illegally?

On top of that, what if he is allowed to go free because of the bureaucratic mess of the ICE and Borderless Bush's refusal to let them actually operate as they should for fear of offending LULAC, MeChA and La Raza?

Retaliation against innocent Hispanics is despicable and shouldn't be excused. But this is born of frustration. I'm willing to bet the local cops know where this guy is and because of a failed immigration policy can't touch him. And if he's capable of "retaliation", as they put it, he's probably alot more dangerous than your average fruit picking illegal immigrant.

The other thing is that the term vigilante now equates this with what the Minutemen are doing. It's time to take this issue head on, secure the borders and let the "housecleaning" begin.

"Six Mexican immigrants were renting the house,...."

That right there tells me they are most likely illegals. Well if nothing else, all the attention will cause the six ILLEGAL immigrants to move elsewhere. The way things are nowadays, if someone in the course of conversation said they immigrated from Mexico or anywhere else I would suspect them of lying

Well if that's the case, expect to see every leftist group in the coury come to their defense, along with half the Republican party.

I hate to say it but American citizens will stand for only so much. When law enforcement ceases to exist the vacuum/void will most likely be filled. It might not always be pretty...

Good.....

Hopfully the bastard is roasted now, and out of the reach of our judicial system.

I remember about ten years ago a little 10 yo girl was taken from her mothers car at a local store, people saw the perp dragging her to his trailer 2,000 yards away , They called Police who would not enter and get her out for some reason, Finally the outcry of citizens outside and their threat to go in if the poplice wouldnt, caused the cops to make a move after she was raped. This man comes up soon to be let out of prison and return to the community.

The police take a special interest in any attempt by citizens to take the law into their own hands , it is the thing that frightens them most , because it proves a breakdown by them, or the justice system.

I've had it with the entire illegal immigration problem.

Oh no they're just undocumented...

I didn't murder him, I just issued an undocumented death certificate. I didn't rob the bank, I just made an undocumented withdrawal.

If the rapist is here illegally I could care less what they do to him. He's an invader; he has no rights.

People are seeing our justice system as justice prevention. It's pretty sad when we have to hope for prison justice or vigilantes to make things right, anymore.

The annals of the American west are filled with true stories of citizens who did the job when the law couldn't or wouldn't. Citizens taking the law into their own hands is not a pleasant alternative, but it is a far better alternative than lawlessness when the appointed law can't or won't do the job.

For all the western stories of vigilantism, one fact cannot be disputed-- from Tombstone to Dodge City to Silver City to Ft. Smith, vigilantism stopped very soon after the law started doing their job.

Sacrificed on the altar of political correctness to the gods of pragmatism and greed..

The desire of ALL politicians to grab power and to keep it the potential vote harvesting superceeds patriotism and even loyalty to those who elected them

imo

No innocents in that house, but I won't say let it burn because it might upset somebody here (that is before they go to a "nuke the ME" threads).

It's like Paul Kersey in the old 'Death Wish' movies.
If the cops have a vigilante to hunt, all other cases are put on hold.

That was my thought as well. Maybe I've been watching too much CSI, but this seems like an awfully convenient situation for the perp. It's pretty hard to convict someone when all of the evidence has been reduced to ashes. Even if the police managed to get some hard evidence from the house before it was torched, he can now scream and holler for a change of venue.
