New York, NY (AHN) - A new Gallup poll released today shows statistics that many in America have been claiming for the last ten years "credibility is vanishing from news".
Between the CBS Texas Air National Guard story with President Bush,to Newsweek's mishandling of the Quran story, people polled with questions relating to credibility in the news whether it be in paper or on TV proved to be shockingly low.
The poll stated people who have a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence and trust in newspapers nose dived from thirty percent to twenty eight percent in one year. The numbers were identical for television as well.
The lowest number on record before was twenty nine percent in 1994.
People's trust and confidence in newspapers has gone down from a whopping thrity eight percent in 2000 to a present day twenty eight percent. TV dropped from thirty six to twenty eight percent as well.
Twenty four percent said they have "very little" confidence or trust in newspapers. The poll stated that 1 percent of those asked said "none". The highest number of respondents were those in the "some" category at forty six percent. Twenty eight percent claimed they have "strong" confidence in their newspaper.

All time Low........and well deserved I might add.
Mind you, I don't trust Gallup that much either ....
They need to give Ron Reagan Jr. more time; he'll bring back the credibility lost.
28% said they read the National Enquirer...
Actually, it's a whole lot lower than that.
so did the Men In Black - claimed there was always a true story in the junk, you just had to know what you were looking for ... ;)
I like to see them do a poll on themselves and see how they do.
Yes, you are!
They have reaped what they have sewn.
Let me know when it gets into the teens. I'll celebrate the death of the MSM then.
This is a well earned victorious march in the sweetest sense of the phrase.
To the Rushes, Seans, Marks Hughs of the conservative world; to the many hundreds (and increasingly more numerous...) of conservative bloggers; to the established conservative info organs like the National Review... especially to my fellow Patriots on the Free Republic:
Keep up the good work, fraters... America is Listening!

All time low because more and more people are seeing just how bias they are.
To me, watching the liberal mainstream media and the dem party is like watching a dance couple on the dance floor. The dems lead and the liberal mainstream media follows their lead perfectly step for step as they dance about the floor.
And the worst? They don't care how many American lives they cost. Neither the dems or the liberal mainstream media care about the consequences of their actions as they dance their dance of death. Just as long as it makes President Bush and his Republican party look bad so the dems can try to win the next election. And they make me sick!
The respondents were divided about equally between those who winked and smiled when they answered and those who crossed their fingers behind their back.
Rush really deserves special kudos for his ground breaking work. I don't always agree with what Rush says or does. But he deserves the praise for opening the flood gates for us. AND Jim Robinson for doing the exact same thing on the Internet.
LMAO
the MainStream Media, R.I.P.

From 30 to 28 is a nosedive? Previous low 29.
Some of the editorials in the MSM look as if they could have been stolen right off of Al Jezeera's web site. They use the same talking points.
