ABC13 Eyewitness News (6/01/05 - WEST UNIVERSITY, TX) Residents in West University witnessed a chaotic and unsettling scene as close to 100 undocumented immigrants were released in their neighborhood.
It happened just after 4:30pm Tuesday. Police say a U-Haul truck pulled up to the intersection of Cason and Wakeforest and unloaded the undocumented immigrants. They also say the human smugglers pulled over after the immigrants locked in the back of the truck rocked it back and forth to get their attention.
"They said they'd been in the Houston area for about 24 hours, but they were in the U-Haul truck for about two hours," said Officer Chris Castillo with the Houston Police Department. "It was very hot today. They haven't eaten, haven't drank."
Police say the immigrants were from Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador. They each paid $4,000 to $6,000 to the smugglers to come into the country illegally.
The undocumented immigrants were transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will likely be deported. (Copyright © 2005, KTRK-TV)

yet *another* use for 'U-Haul' trucks.....
Time to find out who wasn't watching the border. Did Rick Perry initiate a 'stand down'? How did they get to Houston? Are there highway roadside van checks for this sort of thing? Are BP agents on duty considered incompetent, negligent in their duties? Will there be a follow up story telling us of their deporatation? How much money did Houston law enforcment spend to assist in this mess? Were other crimes committed at the time taking law enforcment away from their normal responsibilities? Were these criminals fingerprinted and photographed so we can expedite their drivers license when they come back? Did anyone give birth?
And the trailer full of pine straw bales.
Wow, what a place to Dump illegals. The Cheapest House is West U must be 650k.
Gee, what are the odds of 100 immigrants all losing their documents on the same day?
(Oh wait, they never had any "documents" because they are all here ILLEGALLY.)
Thanks.....I was wondering if this was same "million dollar neighborhood" I was thinking it was.
Western Union is an enabler in this also. Their money transfer available to send money south of the border.
Many of US banks also.
As the remittances rise yearly, so do the smugglers fee's
400-600k per Haul-U truck is a pretty good haul. I'm sure the "undocumented travel agent" made certain there were no free Ryders aboard.
HAHAHAAHAHA..... Prolly scared the piss outta that UPPITY, SNOBBISH, flood prone part of town...
That's my neighborhood. We haven't been in the news since the railroad killer killed the doctor. the illegal railroad killer.
bite me.
That more than I usually make. Really.
Coyote? What's that?
They're "undocumented travel agents" just offering the tours Americans refuse to offer.
Pat Gray was talking about this just this morning (I bet Gunner heard him). He also noted that if you have four grand down in Mexico, you should oh, maybe, FEED YOUR FREAKIN' FAMILY. That might be a start to improving their lives.
The phrase "undocumented immigrants" never looked so silly as in this context. Illegal aliens or foreign trespassers would fit perfectly. Then we learn they will "likely" be deported. That's nitwitness news for you.
So...
Where is Borges now?
I don't know.
Prolly not. Drive the neighborhood and you will see more than that every day building houses and cutting lawns.
Nice try at hysteria. The person you quoted was a communist Sandanista, speaking in 1985. In case you haven't been paying attention, the opposite of what he predicted soon happened, as the Sandanistas lost power more than a decade ago and now have nothing. But they all look alike, so that's all that matters, right?
Wow, what a place to Dump illegals. The Cheapest House is West U must be 650k.
Diddle, you can google Thomas Borge, and find that quote in a number of places.
So what? The fact remains that he was a Sandanista communist talking about spreading communism, that instead the Sandanistas lost power, and that you are trying to imply and insert a different meaning into his statement.
No I'm not.
So you actually believe that these illegal aliens are coming her to spread communism by killing Americans?
her = here
I wonder if they have to pay up front?
The undocumented immigrants [from Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador] were transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will likely be deported released.
Yes, I believe some illegals here are here to do exactly that. I also believe that radical hispanic lobbies are working toward that end as well. Furthermore, there are many examples of radical hispanic lobbies that promote violence towards American citizens. So, yes, I think that is one thing that is part of Vicente Fox's policy to push his people here to America. Are all of them here to murder us? Don't think so. All illegals are not Mexican, and no, just so you know, they don't all look alike. I could provide some family pictures if you like. Also, it is interesting to study the predominate political parties in Mexico and Central America.. and yes, it's predominately communist IMO.
You might look at the charters of LaRaza, Maldef, Mecha/Mexa to get an idea of what they think of our laws and America / Americans' in general.
I could provide an informational link about those groups and who funds them if you like.
some = 1 in 1,000
There are likely more Islamic radicals coming across to work in terror cells than hispanics seeking to "kill for communism." But the vast, vast majority are simply coming to seek a better life and gain the benefits of living here. Doesn't excuse the illegality, but hysteria and hyperbole only undermine the efforts to secure the border, because a) people don't like being lied to, and b) it gives the other side ammunition to undermine and discredit your voice and arguments, while changing the subject.
So why not just stick to the facts that they are coming here illegally, and that porous borders are a huge security risk? Isn't that reason enough to secure the borders?
You need to put a link up.
Wait, the cops called La Migra? They obviously haven't established Houston as a sanctuary city yet. If this had happened in Los Angeles, the LAPD would have given them rides to whatever business was hiring them.
I think your numbers are off.
I think your premise is incorrect.
I'm not the hysterical one here. Simply posting a quote, and hoping even the ignorant can see the implications of OTM's coming here for less honorable purposes than providing for a family..of course they should follow the law in that case, and it has worked in the past.. so for those that choose not to follow the law, they implicate themselves WITH those that may be doing so for reasons differnt than those that follow the law.
I am not changing the subject.. it is all part and parcel of the same problem with unprotected borders.
If you don't agree with me, that is fine.
BTW, I am using facts. If you have something to the contrary, post it. If AlQueda is not feared to be coming in mixed in with 'nice' illegals, I would love to know who lives in that world. Congress has recieved briefings from Director Mueller himself on the same subject.
But I do enjoy lectures that teach me something I don't know. So please pass along anything new.
You aren't hysterical. Many haven't noticed the many groups that have simply picked up the baton for the Borge and his gang. The para military trained ms-13--invasion numbers. Maldef, la raza, etc. Not to mention the zetas right on the border--(more para militarys), the 'Memoranda of Understanding" that vicente fox has signed with china, iran, cuba,...
Thanks MW.
As a side note, I was looking for the post regarding the zeta's.. MS-13 is the most obvious and recent example proving the intent of 'certain' illegals here. For those who don't know, MS-13 make radical jihadi islamist nutjobs look like powderpuffs. There are many articles relating the activities and crimes by MS-13, should one be interested. They are spread from coast to coast.
(Do you have a link to the MOA?)
Their friends and family already here illegally are sending it back to them.

How would a illegal immigrant from Mexico come up with $24,000 cash?<<<
AL Queda lent it to them?
They also exchanged viewpoints on ways to increase the role of the private and state sectors in promoting Iran-Mexico ties particularly considering Mexico's booming economy and its huge market need for Iranian petrochemical products.
Is this an obvious question, but if Mexico has a booming economy, WHYYYYYYY are so many coming here seeking a 'better life'?? And would it be prickish of me to ask what is creating a huge need for petrochemical products?? Juss askin'.
Are all of them here to murder us? Don't think so.>>>>>>>>
But it would seem that a good many illegals do come here to commit murders......and *occasionally* you can find official reports that back this up.

"Local police have credited ICE Storm with a more than 30 percent drop in homicides in the Phoenix area in the last quarter of 2003, compared to the same period the previous year."
Google mexico and china or mexico, iran. Or mexico and any other enemy of America. Mexico has been very busy.
