As Bad as the Nazis? - (oh swell, Int'l Red Cross equating U.S. military to Third Reich!)

The International Committee of the Red Cross is granted a privileged status to inspect the conditions of prisoners of war and other detainees in return for confidentiality. But in recent years it has demonstrated a habit of selective media leaks damaging to American purposes. This is the backdrop for two recent incidents that make us think the U.S. should reconsider the ICRC's role.

The first concerns a story we heard first from a U.S. source that an ICRC representative visiting America's largest detention facility in Iraq last month had compared the U.S. to Nazi Germany. According to a Defense Department source citing internal Pentagon documents, the ICRC team leader told U.S. authorities at Camp Bucca: "You people are no better than and no different than the Nazi concentration camp guards." She was upset about not being granted immediate access shortly after a prison riot, when U.S. commanders may have been thinking of her own safety, among other considerations.

A second, senior Defense Department source we asked about the episode confirmed that the quote above is accurate. And a third, very well-placed American source we contacted separately told us that some kind of reference was made by the Red Cross representative "to either Nazis or the Third Reich"--which understandably offended the American soldiers present.

The ICRC is supporting the terrorists against the US.

ICRC says it received ‘credible’ reports (from terrorist detainees): Desecration of Quran

The Nazis didn't attack books as much as people. They made lampshades out of people. Sorry, the Intl Red Cross lost me on this one.

We should stop supporting the Red Cross and stop allowing them anywhere near our prisoners, and tell the world why, tha they are NOT neutral by a long shot.

No they are not neutral at all. They assisted with moving Stalin's son, Yakov to safety. I'm holding my breath to see when and where Yakov will be revealed as "Stalin Lives". Better yet, maybe black ops will or have whacked him. Then no one will ever know. That is preferable.

The Red Cross is on a major watch list. I've never supported them. Vets know they are an enemy.

Enemy organizations have to be undone one at a time. And sometimes way too slowly for our preferences.

There is just way too much that has to be undone today.

I hope the Clinton, et al, legacy rots.

Hyperbole and projection seem to be favorite tactics of the left. It's sad to see a once respectable international humanitarian organisation reduced to the ministry of propaganda for Islamic territorial expansionism and terrorism.

The International Committee of the Red Cross is granted a privileged status to inspect the conditions of prisoners of war and other detainees in return for confidentiality.

In a rational universe, the International Red Cross would immediately get ungranted any special privilege or status.
They then need to join the terrorists, or all go out and get real jobs.

Parasites!

Note to self: don't ever contribute to the RC.

Note to everyone: contribute to US Red Cross after they establish a record of condemning IRC.

The ICRC should not use the Shoah as an ideological club. Considering its cravenness, lethargy and willful blindness, I say any reference to the Holocaust from that overrated institution should be used for self-flagelation.
