“All you're going to do is exclude people, including Democrats of faith and those with families,” said state Sen. Steven Panagiotakos, D-Lowell. “Basically, what you're telling them is that the Democratic Party is not for you. We should be showcasing the Democratic candidates for governor, not creating a circus-like atmosphere around this one issue.”

I'm quite confident that the Mass. 'rats will ignore his advice. If not censure him for his lack of compassion, diversity, inclusion, etc.

what you're telling them is that the Democratic Party is not for you.

what you're admitting to them is that the Democratic Party is not for you.

Heck, it would be even better if they would perform ceremonies right there on the stage! Go for it, I say!

Seeing's how the people don't want it, that'll be the best way to show them what Rats are really made of.

The article said that 71% of Mass. Democrats are in favor of homosexual "marriage." (Wait a sec, I have to go back to the article to make sure I have that figure correctly.) Yep, but it's a Globe poll, so though it is prolly a complete fabrication, the convention may go ahead and put it in their platform. Could it tear apart the Democratic party? One can only hope.

FWIW. "Mark Solomon, political director of MassEquality, a group supporting same-sex marriage, cited a Globe poll which showed that 71 percent of Democrats in Massachusetts back gay marriage."

You know it's a lie! Even the judge on the MA. Supreme Court, who was lesbian, dissented with the majority opinion. If 71% were true, why haven't they passed a referendum or amendment? Oh yeah, the people keep voting for "preserving" marrige.
