Police Charge DOD Employee With Child Pornography
MERRIFIELD, Va. -- Fairfax County police say 37-year-old Eric Boucher, a financial manager with the Department of Defense, is now facing several counts of child pornography.
Authorities said Boucher was arrested Monday at his apartment in Merrifield, Va.
Fairfax County police spokesman Richard Henry told News4, "We got a tip last month that he had child pornography at his house and that he was having kids over, giving them illegal narcotics and then taking pictures of them in pornographic poses."
Police said the alleged victims were three teenage boys who are minors. Neighbors said kids were always ringing the buzzer, trying to get into the building and if they did, there was a second doorbell next to the suspect's apartment door.
No other unit in the garden-style apartment complex had one, neighbors said.
Investigators said they believe the suspect took the pictures and was keeping them for himself. There's no indication they were distributed over the Internet, they said. And police do not believe any other suspects were involved.
They're saying very little about how Boucher met the alleged victims. "He did know somebody who introduced them to the juveniles and from that point he invited them over," Henry said.
Police do not believe other kids were involved.
Boucher is facing six counts of child pornography.
hmmm. Almost certain the garden style apartment they are talking about is my old neighborhood. Glad to be out of there myself, but my heart breaks for those kids. Just hope it was none of the boys who used to come around to play with our dog.
People who went to highschool with him at Bishop O'Connell were calling into DC101 this morning. Amazing how many people come out of the woodwork to say "I knew him when..."
cute............/sarcasm
Ping! (If this had been a Catholic priest...)
To the first commenter: What precisely do you mean by "go figure"?
To the second commenter: I was a friend of Mr. Boucher's roommate. I visited there several times, and was freaked out that all those teenagers seemed to hang out there. However, unless one wishes to totally jetisson the idea of personal responsibility, I most certainly *cannot* say that my heart goes out to these "victims." They were 16 or 17 years old and knew *exactly* what they were doing. Eric Boucher is an evil, manipulative scumbucket -- but so were these "kids," and one can only hope that life will give to them the punishment that they deserve, too.
