Protesting the liberal government's decision to resign in case..( Calling all CANADIANS)
May 10,2005 | youngtory

It's time for Canadians who truly love democracy to get off their butts and fight. There is a non-confidence motion in the house of commons today and if it passes then the government of Paul Martin will have to resign. As we know it, the liberals said that they will refuse to resign, I say that we the people go and demand the resignation of the government. I'm pretty sure that there will be media attention. Anyone with me??

How can Paul Martins government refuse to resign?

Is there something in their laws that lets them refuse?

Their claim is that the government could fall only when the bill has to do with money. Again he's a typical liberal and liberals are dictators. The next thing to do is pressure the Queen's representative the governor general. She has the power to order the government to resign if they fall. In any case this will not go well with the liberals and I'm pretty sure that there will be a government backlash.

Unfortuately, this measure is a vote to send a bill to committee. It is probably a stretch to call this is no-confidence measure.

Both sides are fighting a guerrilla war with the rules of the House of Commons. However this government will go down, to much is coming out from the Gomrey commission for it to last much longer.

Their claim is nonsense. If the House Of Commons passes a no-confidence motion, the Government must resign and either make way for a new ministry from the Opposition or have Parliament dissolved so a fresh election can be held so the people can decide who will govern. Its a fundamental principle of responsible government.

Exactly, that's why I was thinking about organizing protests just like the Syrians and the Ukranians. I really learned a lot from them and I think the Canadians who love democracy and freedom should do the same.

Except Mr. Dithers does NOT believe in responsible government - he's a dictator who believes in his own job ONLY...

I wish you Canadians all the best of luck in restoring honor to the once great freedom-loving country to our north! Never give up! My prayers are with you.

You would think the Liberals would be ready to accept the challenge so they can campaign on what an "unfair surprise" a June election is. Never mind there was an election exactly a year ago.

Anyone with me??

I'm with you.

My family was wondering the other day, 'why haven't we marched on Parliment already?'

If the Lib's lose this vote tonight, and refuse to resign, I'll march on Parliment all by myself if I have to!

I think it's too late for the sh*thole that was once our country, I really do. We have too many immigrants who just don't get it.
