Actually, our government should have no considerations of the concept of a hate-crime. The thought that a crime gets harsher penalties because the perptrator is a majority while the victim is a minority is obscene, and laughs in the face of the concept of blind justice.

The law should not truly care why the crime was committed, just that it was, and the punishment should be for the crime. There should be no stricter punishements because of race or any of those other fun 'protected' items.

This girl, the only crimes she truly committed was the harrasing phone calls to the teachers and the vandalism of school property. The writings on her car, it was her property, and it's not a crime to deface your own property.

The writings on her car, it was her property, and it's not a crime to deface your own property.

Maybe not, but it is a crime to make a false report of a crime to the police.
