Today Show Glows over Schwarzenegger Woes, Depicts Opposition as Teachers & Nurses - not Unions
The Today Show | governsleast governsbest

When it comes to attacking Republicans, it seems that all are fair game for the Today Show (with the possible exception of John McCain). Today was in a paroxysm of schadenfreude delight this morning, reveling in Arnold Schwarzenegger's political struggles.

As described by Campbell Brown [daughter of a convicted, corrupt Lousiana Dem politician], "not long ago Schwarzenegger seemed unstoppable, but support started slipping a few months ago and now The Terminator might be in serious trouble."

What is really going on? Arnold is in a battle with big public labor unions, whose demands are hurting the state financially.

But Today NEVER ONCE made reference to unions, never once used the word "union", instead portraying Arnold as being opposed by "firefighters, teachers and nurses." That certainly puts him in a much more unsympathetic light than if Today had told the truth, doesn't it?

Today then ran a clip of liberal talking head Sherry Bebitch Jaffe proclaiming that Arnold in talking tough on controlling the borders, Arnold is "using llegal immmigration to shore up support from conservatives."

In a state literally overrun by illegals, where illegals now boldly speak of "LA, Mexico," are only "conservatives" concerned? Jaffe went on to describe Arnold "naive when it comes to politics."

Anyone who thinks that illegal immigration is a conservatives-only issue will find out soon enough at the ballot box who is truly naive.

The segment closed with this parting shot: "People thought Schwarzenegger might be the next Ronald Reagan. Now they're wondering if he might be the next Jesse Ventura."

Great, great question, and the same could be asked of most MSM execs. Will these people let their organizations go to hell in the name of their liberal ideology?

Speaking of Bob Schrum, I heard on the news that he and his buds are over in England working on getting Tony Blair's party reelected.

Can you believe it? 6 months ago, they were saying Iraq was all W's fault, and Kerry was THE man. Now they are in GB saying Iraq wasn't Tony's fault, he was just listening to that cowboy Bush.

They would sell their own mother to keep their power intact.

I do agree with Arnold's position though that the moon should be destroyed.

You have to wonder about the intelligence of the goobers running the network news shows, and cable news. TV execs have never been shy about copying someone else's winning idea. One western show is a hit and next season every show on was a western. Sit coms about 20-somethings, variety shows, cop shows, criminal forensics, all they know how to do is re-package someone else's highly rated ideas.

So you have to ask yourself... why won't they copy FOXNews? It's so simple....FAIR AND BALANCED SELLS. Why won't the MSM tv execs see that and follow suit?????? At this point, it's almost as if they are sabotaging themselves. CNN is "shifting focus", NBC is dropping the MSN. These guys gotta know "style over substance" is not the answer. But wait!!! Style over substance is exactly what Hillary is doing.

Very much like France.

Congratulations to the Democrats for growing government so big in Kalifornia that the (public) labor unions now run the show there (largely through their sock-puppet surrogates in the scumbag Democrat Party), and have the power to flush that state right down the toilet.

Just like France, LOL!

Can you give us an idea of what Rush had to say? Talking about their ratings problems?

I caught some of it. He lead with some sound bites from the top of the NBC program. Made the point about the obvious bias involved in what they said this morning.

Thanks for the info. Maybe my FR Today Show threads just go for the obvious, but it is amazing how often the same items turn up on Rush and elsewhere!
