Ridiculous. More nanny-ism from a country that has effectively shut down all business activity. I used to smoke and drive. I don't smoke anymore. I'm glad I don't smoke anymore. But I didn't need a nanny to tell me to quit.

My girlfriend in the passenger seat is a distraction too. Let's get rid of her.

My radio...A distraction, it's gotta go.

Did you see that bird fly by? Kill all distracting birds.

For Germany, with an economy that is in utter free-fall, to worry about drivers smoking cigarettes, would be like Russia outlawing diet sodas because artificial sweeteners are "bad for your health".

I think we should ban sneezing for drivers.

Thass raght Peter and Katherina, you go get 'em! While you're at it make the penalty for smoking re-assignment to working in your state authorized brothels.

The women will screw for the state, and the men can clean the sheets.

I'm all for banning cigarettes for drivers. The increase in road rage from smokers will provide endless entertainment for those reality cop shows as German police pull over and cuff the outlaws puffing away in the privacy of the automobiles.

Ever notice how almost no one in government, anywhere, wants to ban all production and sale of tobacco products? There is too much money to be made and too much tax revenue to collect. Governments talk out of both sides of their mouths whenever they talk about tobacco. Either ban it, altogether, or shut up about it.

Hey, the more the merrier.

"When we look down the road, I would say 10, 15, 20 years from now, in a gradual fashion, smoking will probably be outlawed in the United States."

That's not a experienced politician talking. You have to do things gradual. Like here in Pennsylvania, a few years ago, the lawmakers were talking about banning smoking in cars with children. A good cause, the liberals say. Then, once that's a done deal, then you go on to a complete ban.

That's the the modus operandi of the left. Slowly, slowly, inch by inch, they'll get their agenda across. The gay people could take lessons from them with that gay marriage stuff.

Guess I'll be breaking the law on a regular basis. Wonder what the smoking prisons will be like?

More creative ways to stop smokers from polluting the air. Listen folks, you need a facelift to stop this anti-smoking trend. I'm telling you, you need to begin a campaign of courtesy and become like pipe and cigar smokers. If not, you will find the only place to smoke will be the outhouse.

Here we go again..............

I lived in Germany for 5 years.  The way they drive on the Autobahn they really need both hands on the wheel.  It's nuts.  The German's will go up on sidewalks even to make a pass! heh!

And if we ban smoking while driving, there are a few other things I can think of that we have to ban as well:  cell phones, eating fast food, putting on make-up, brushing hair and oral sex!

Oh yes!  I have gone down the Interstate with a vehicle in front of me with two heads.  Then there was one.  I think you get my drift.  So a guy won't be allowed to smoke while he drives?  Well, I think the latter would be a LOT more distracting then smoking.  Don't you?

As long as I have to pay for my own registration every year, they can kiss my arse.  I will do in my vehicle what I so choose.  This is getting way out of hand.

Well, I sure hope the lawmakers have figured out how to make up for the lost revenue from smokers.  Hmmmm wonder who they will hit next?  Get ready!
