Without knowing the story, I wonder if they wandered off? Pretty rural area not far from here.
Anyone know whether they died of exposure or was it murder? I was so afraid it would end like this.
I thought at this point they didn't know exactly what happened. Perhaps they wandered away from home and fell into the pond. They were very young children and most likely couldn't swim and I'm sure the water was very cold. Let's not jump too quickly to conclusions.

I have a suspicion - having raised 5 kids and got 15 g'kids - that this may well be a tragic case of little explorers that went wandering...
I know how you feel, cvq3842. How can evilness like this exist? I look at kids and see happiness. What goes thru these sick f*cks heads? The killing of children is the only thing I see in the news that saddens me so deep that I have to stop reading the story out of sheer anguish.
They may just have wandered onto the pond site and fallen in. Perhaps the younger one fell in and the older one tried to rescue her. WHERE was the mother? The babies had disappeared a few hours before and neighbors brought them home. It's incredibly sad.
It's sad when the monster is usually the one that the little ones trusted the most..
