Wait a minute there!. You are telling me that the Bible says that the man rules the house?????. Doesn't the wife have a say in there?. Shouldn't husband and wife lead the home equally??????. I am completely against this nun, and think like most of you that perhaps she should choose a religion that fits her convinience better. But now I am wondering, should I also look for another religion?.

Biblicaly the Husband is head of the house. Which means he's the one responsible to God for what happens. Just like Adam had to answer for what happened in Eden, even though Eve was the first to bite of the fruit.

Does the wife have a say? Sure! but once again the husband is still the one responsible to God for the decisions.

Obviously some things aren't life and death, or huge spiritual matters. I doubt God really cares what color car you get (as long as its not black). But it all comes down to the heart attitude by BOTH people. Before any one says that the husband RULES the house, they need to understand the awesome responsibilty that is placed there. Ephesians 5:23-5:30. A man should love his wife as Christ loves the Church. So that right there puts an awful lot of responsibility on the mans actions. EVERYTHING he does, and says should be for his wifes well being. Now that doesn't mean he gives her everything she wants, because Christ doesn't give us everything we want.

Anyone who preaches that men and women are equal in there roles is out to lunch. The Bible is clear what the responsibilities of each is. If they use the lame excuse that Paul was writing to a cultural issue. Examine Paul, he didn't back down from anyone, he'd tell them just as it was. He didn't preach certain ways, because he didn't want to offend some.

Also, if people say that things applied to things back then, but not today. Remember God doesn't change. People and society change. If you feel far from God guess who moved. The same applies to principals in the Bible. If society doesn't apply to the Bible guess who changed.
