How to 'reward' donors
Omaha World Herald/Omaha.com ^ | 3-31 | Editors

The reward being bestowed on 6,000 or more people who donated money to the Schindlers' legal battle to keep their daughter's feeding tube in place is this: Bob and Mary Schindler have sold or traded those donors' names and e-mail addresses to a conservative direct-mailing company. The company, Response Unlimited, is pushing the information hard, telling potential buyers that "these individuals are passionate about the way they value human life, adamantly oppose euthanasia and are pro-life in every sense of the word!"

More petulant ranting from the RINO Omaha World Herald, wonder if it objects to Planned Parenthood's sending out mass mailings for pro-death liberal pols every election time from its list of women who visited their clinics?

The point is that's not a very nice thing to do, some would call it dishonest actually.

Must be ok for Planned Parenthood to do political mass mailings to unsuspecting citizens and for National Peoples Radio to sell their donor lists to the Demoncrats but not for conservatives to get their message out

Who knows, but I object to these donors' names being whored out to some direct-mailing company, conservative or otherwise.

The point is to try to deflect folks from the real issues raised in terri's case and try to make the whole thing fade into obscurity because the parents aren't scions of Godliness.

What they did is wrong and theeir motives may not have been totally pure, but they had to sit by and watch their daughter be starved to death by a system that wants to have full life and death authority over all of us. Misdeeds by the parents don't negate all that occured, but many will try to argue it does.

I disagree that even selling the names is a misdeed, how would right to life get the word out to sympathetic voters? If you want to prevent the next Schiavo case, you need voters and $$

So that justifies them selling peoples names? This sucks and nothing you say can make it better or make Terri's parents seem any better for it.

If MS had done this you would be all over him about it. Losing a daughter, no matter what the cause, is no excuse for this type of behavior.

Maybe the Schindlers sold names to raise money to keep their daughter (and others like her) alive, But Michael sold the life of a woman who loved him and depended on him. To salve his ego, fatten his miserable bank account, and to help a disturbed death-fixated attorney make legal history.

God Bless Terri's grieving parents on this day her soul returned to our Maker, even as the LSM shows its true colors on this day, in its selection of timing and of issues it finds morally outrageous.

RIP Terri Schindler

I never said it justified them selling the names - I said that them selling the names should not distract people from the real issues - you have obviously been distracted from the real issues...either that, or you have a weird priority system for your issues.

This has nothing to do with "right to Life" though the case will be used to weaken every conservative position due to the grandstanding politicians scrambling to interfere with the law. This clear lack of integrity by the GOP will cause a world of hurt and it was thrown away for NOTHING.
