Something MUST Be Done Today for Terri Schiavo (Rescue Her Today!)
Free Republic ^ | 3/23 | self

I wrote this to a FReeper earlier. She was feeling much frustration with many here I believe because of what was, in her mind, a careless disregard for morality and the well-being of an innocent and quite defenseless girl, Terri Schiavo.

The intelligent and good FReeper was at the point of wanting to leave FR. So I wrote her:

*****

Don't go, please. You're one of the folks here with a real good heart and very strong feelings. That is a very good combination. Don't go ........

I'm getting a feeling (or a wish) that today (Wednesday) the Federal marshals or some others are going to take control of this abysmal situation. Unlike the Elian Gonzalez catastrophe, this will be for the good of a human being.

Maybe in the future it can be referred to as 'Good Wednesday'. Because the more I learn about this entire case, this girl has been done wrong since the very beginning and things must be righted. What is happening now must end....... well.

*********

I implore all who care about the wrongness of all this to contact the White House, contact anyone who could have something to do with getting action TODAY. There can not be any more wasted time and destruction of this innocent girl. If this husband is much of what we suspect, this matter should not be allowed to end in her death by these brutal means!

Please help to make this Wednesday a day to remember in the future for a good reason. We'll get the law straightened out on this later.

Hello President Bush, Vice-President Cheney,

Here are a couple ideas to save Terri Schaivo.

1) I wonder what would happen if you went to visit Terri with the Secret Service in tow and decided to take her to a safe haven aboard Air Force One. I don't think any Florida law enforcement personnel (God Bless Them) would stand in your way. This may be the only remaining hope.

2) The Vatican has come out pretty strongly in opposition to her execution. I wonder if anyone over there has considered naming Terri a diplomat or special envoy. That might well kick the authority to order the reattachment of her feeding tube to the State Department.

thanks,

Tony in Boulder, Colorado

I'm all for seeing Terri spirited away to receive life giving sustenance. I'd cheer it. It would be odd seeing the authorities trying to get her back for her to die. A world turned on its head.

Thank you.

Please, everyone who happens to see this, feel free to ping anyone and everyone who you may know who wants the moral thing to be done here. We'll get the law straightened out later!

Is it incorrect or impolite to ask that this be put in news or breaking news, or somewhere it can get maximum exposure. I'm relatively new, and am not totally clear on where and how things are posted for maximum view.

Thank you for any consideration.

It's ironic that this is the same week that Jesus was executed by a government at the behest of a mob of evildoers. If Terri passes away this week she will share that with the Lord. Those who showed no compassion for her will share their lot with the mob in judgment.

It's similar as in the government has decided what is best for the kid.

I'm considering leaving FR as well. I knew that the courts were out of control and acts of Congress were irrelevant. But now I realize that presidential appointments are irrelevant as well. Today a Bush 41 appointee sided with death of an innocent in a 2-1 decision. The interest of judges appointed from either party is in defending the absolute power of the judiciary. The Schiavo decisions have been particularly in the face of the elected branches. The choice of judges seems to be between Democrat dictators for life and Republican dictators for life. With the possibility of change through elections foreclosed, the only avenue open for change is revolution. Since the Admins of Free Republic will and must delete seditious posts, discussion here seems rather pointless.

Are you advocating that people send emails? If so, then I think you don't understand what is truly required at this stage.

Our forefathers warned us. They told us what would be required to maintain our republic.

You can send mountains of emails, call everyone until your fingers turn blue and do everything you think you can to save the life of Terri Sciavo.. when all she really needs at this point is a drink of water.

THINK!

We have enjoyed so much freedom for so long that we are perhaps in danger of forgetting how much blood it cost to establish the Bill of Rights. ~ Felix Frankfurter

The President never helped Ms. Rosa Parks - she had to take that first step herself.

Nonsense. I guarantee you that EVERY judge appointed and confirmed by the Democrats will be liberal activists. That's the only type of judge they will allow. With the Republicans we will at least have a shot at decent judges.
