There are
400,000 known sex criminals watching our children throughout the U.S. There is now an Act before the House that was signed by the Senate to create a National Register for Sex Offenders. This new law will help us and our state offices
watch the criminals and keep them from getting early parole before they serve their full terms!!! Couey only served two of the 10 years of his sentance. And he was on parole. He failed to notify officials of his whereabouts. It was too easy for him with no National Registry!
And, for those who simply say "Put these creeps to death," although we may all echo those sentiments - It is important to note that there are only 15 states that have a death penalty. The perverted criminals will move to those states and might become YOUR neighbor!
Urge your Representative to sign the National Sex Offender Registry Act into law, NOW! SENATE PASSES NATIONAL SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY LEGISLATION (November 2004)

And If you are in Florida: Sign the Jessica Petition Child Admendment Act. It is posted on the Free Republic Thomas Legislative Information on the Internet ^ | March 20, 2005

This is a great idea. They should also make the law retroactive for the animals who are already in prison.

Sounds good to me, although SCOTUS has already ruled #2 unconstitutional.

Know the stats to make your case
recidivisim
parole
Be aware that when the BJS does crime stats they do NOT count rape of males or females under 12 for the crime of rape.
Each state should have their own recidivisim study to help bolster the federal stats start digging for your states.
You must have the stats to make good arguments for heavier punishment.

How long before the death penalty was restored in those states where they caused chaos with that states children?

sadly justice doesn't work this way. the little girl's dead and the state's first priority will be to make sure this scumbag get's a fair trial. Somewhere someone will draw a line in the sand. Our children will come first to politician's.
But until that day, I'm sorry to say you are right. Their rights mean more than our children's lives and innocence.

Correction to my post #:7 I wrote:It is important to note that there are only 15 states that have a death penalty. The perverted criminals will move to those states and might become YOUR neighbor!
I meant: there are 15 states that DO Not have the death penalty. My eyes read what my mind thought, Ugh! Sorry.
