This morning President Bush delivered a powerful and inspiring foreign policy speech at the National Defense University at Fort Lesley J. McNair, regarding the emerging freedom in the Middle East and the overall War on Terror. He also greeted Czech Republic President Vaclav Klause in the Oval Office, discussing regional security and dipolomatic issues.
First Lady Laura Bush, accompanied by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, spoke today at a conference to mark International Women's Day at the State Department, meeting in round table discussions with leaders of 15 Muslim nations to urge women in the Middle East to push for democracy in the region.
This afternoon, President Bush met with former Presidents Bush and Clinton in the Oval Office, welcoming them back from their good will mission to the tsunami victims, and the ex Presidents gave a report on what was accomplished. Laura also spoke at the Helping America's Youth initiative in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this afternoon. A busy day for our First Couple!
President Bush's strong foreign policy is resulting in the stirring of freedom in the hearts of people around the world, so it's a good time to be a Bushbot! Enjoy your Daily Dose, and your trip to Sanity Island!
I always love seeing our President be who he is - gracious even to someone who had the "Ws" taken off the white house keyboards the day Bush was inaugurated.
Oh, his speech today was magnificent.
Laura looks wonderful...as always.
With Afghan Ministers at the International Women's Day event.....

It WAS a great speech!
And a free and peaceful Lebanon would be so helpful in working toward peace in Israel I think. One less place for militants to work from. That could be so good for our mission in that part of the world.
It's fantastic!
President Bush is very gracious.
Laura and Condi........real women!!!

Laura and Condi Cool!

However, Egypt, Kuwait, and probably Saudi will have free-er elections thanks to the Iraqi people showing such courage.
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never sound retreat,
He is sifting out the hearts of men before the judgement seat,
O be swift, my soul to answer Him! Be jubilant my feet!
Our God is marching on!
Glory! Glory, hallelujah! Glory! Glory, hallelujah!
Glory! Glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on!
I love this!
His tone was a little different and the speech was beautifully delivered.
Good evening to you too, hoosierpearl!
