In the weeks following 9/11 American flags were very hard to come by.

Real patriots already had flags prior to 9-11.

I won't be cuing up Lee Greenwood again any time soon (and will change the station if he comes on the radio)

Well at least something good came out of it.

I still do not understand the connection between your patriotism and your screwed-up life.

Everyone has their own fight to fight. Too bad Marc somehow feels that his fight to reform the family law system somehow reflects poorly on all the rest of the U.S.

Yes, the wreckage and devastation caused by America's long term illicit affair with that tramp, Socialism, is found in many places. Family law is one of them.

This guy is no longer a patriot because of a bad divorce? Are you kidding me? This guy has some serious issues.

What the hell does the family law system have to do with WWIV? The author seems to be going through a bout of severe depression and is taking it out on our beloved country. If you don't like the system, then work to change it! As for spouses, choose carefully. Being an engineer, I drew up a specification list for my wife and CHARACTER was at the top of the list. It took me 5 years and over 300 dates to find her. I have two wonderful childdren in college now.

Anyone who lost a loved one on 9/11/01 would gladly change places with Marc.
I'm sure they'd rather be having a tough time in court...seems pretty small in the scheme of things.

IMHO.

To Marc from Seadevil:

Sometimes, bad things happen to good people. You are entitled to pursue happiness. Whether or not you get it is up for grabs. Life isn't fair; blow your nose, quit whining and get over it.

The guy has no concept of the principle of personal responsibility.

He screwed up his life and it's the country's fault.

To quote Al Swearingen on "Deadwood": "What made you think there's a way to right every wrong, Wu? Did you come to this country for justice or to make your way in the world?"

yep. the corruption of the courts in this country is real and harmful. but people tend to turn a blind eye until it is themselves who are abused by the fraternity of lawyers and judges. we let it happen. we're slaves to the rulings of these little gods who think their word is law. we are now a nation of men, not a nation of Law. welcome to the real world.

All the while, in the years subsequent to my divorce and unwanted separation from my daughter, I was being dragged through the family law system in the state of NH. I don't bring up NH in particular because it has any significance other than being mine and my daughter's state of residence. I ended up spending over thirty thousand dollars in litigation and GAL expenses trying to stay an integral part of my daughter's life, even as her mother was doing everything within her power to keep us apart (and continues to engage in an attempt to alienate my daughter from me to this day).

>>>

I would never put up with this sh*t. Ever.

This is a strange reaction to getting screwed by your ex-wife. You might consider the fact that the left-wing controls the American Bar Assoc. and the Democrats controlled the government for 40 years which established family law.

I would think you'd become a dedicated Republican and family law activist in order to change the laws in greater support of father's rights. Your anger should be directed at feminists, Democrats and organizations that wrap themselves in the phony "rights of children".

Snap out of it and get some perspective.
