Only two presidents never pardoned anyone -- James Garfield and William Henry Harrison.

It helps if you can live long enough to issue a pardon.

And why did bootlegging happen? Because alcohol was illegal. Somehow the drug warriors don't understand this simple economic concept.

President Bush has acted to pardon eight people, including a man convicted of bootlegging 45 years ago.

Let's see Ted Kennedy bash this one...

Bill Clinton gave out 456, including 176 on his last day as president.

Which included a pardon of the FALN, which put the lives of millions of people at risk, and still are at risk, all so his psychotic wife could play Senator in a state she is never in. And if the FALN terrorize again to add to their already 130 bombings, guess who will get the blame? That`s right, GW. 130 bombings and they do 15 years, and Ted Kazinski did how many again? Maybe 7? 10? And he is doing 4 life terms. What Hitlery wants, Hitlery gets.

Most presidents issue hundreds. Bill Clinton gave out 456, including 176 on his last day as president.

Clinton turned it into a cottage industry.

"Most presidents issue hundreds. Bill Clinton gave out 456, including 176 on his last day as president. "

The word is "sold," not "gave!" Someday, I hope to see a long list of connection between Saddam Huesein, Iraqi oil voucher/food-for-oil money, oil money beneficiaries and Clinton pardon recipients. So far, we have Marc Rich; I believe there'll be many other.

I'd like to be pardoned for wearing a green, luminous leisure suit to a bar and restaurant back in the disco 1970s. I gave it to Goodwill. It's probably still hanging on the rack.

I live in fear that someone may have a photo of me in that.

For which he was handsomely compensated...

Bush breaks the rules. Pardons don't come on his last day in office.

If you've gotta pardon someone, seems like it ought to be someone who was convicted of bootlegging 45 years ago.
