Right-wing threats: Far right activist Baruch Marzel recently sent a threatening letter to Arab Knesset Member Mohammad Barakeh (Ta’al) over the latter's vote in favor of settlement evacuation.

The letter stated Barakeh should “be wary of how he votes.”

The letter was sent to Barakeh following his vote in the Knesset’s Finance Committee in favor of the evacuation-compensation bill . Notably, Barakeh’s vote proved to be decisive and paved the way for the bill's approval.

“Even without your vote in the Finance Committee , but only because you are an enemy of the Jewish state, the government should put you on trial and throw you in jail,” Marzel wrote in the letter.

“However, following your vote in favor of expelling Jews from their homes in Gaza and the northern Samaria, and due to the fact that you have contributed to the reinstatement of the transfer bill, I inform you that in the following days appraisers will be sent to your home to estimate its value.”

'I cannot vouch for his well-being'

Marzel also said in the letter “the evacuation bill was passed with your backing, and now it is only a matter of time before it is implemented on other sectors of society, including you and your friends.”

“You want to expel Jews and claim it is ethical? Many Jews want to expel you, and they also claim it is ethical,” the lettersaid. “Today Sharon is drafting laws to evacuate Jews, tomorrow he will implement the same laws against Arabs."

Barakeh, who resides in the Arab town of Shfaram, issued a warning of his own in response to the letter.

“In Israel we have freedom of movement, and Baruch Marzel may come to Shfaram, but if he violates my privacy I cannot vouch for his well-being.”

Sadly we have our extremists. So long as this remains words Mr.Marzel should not be touched. If he commits a violent act against an Israeli MK or tries to he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

What act of violence did Mr. Marzel threaten to commit upon Mr. Barakei's person? He said he would send an appraiser to the property. How is that violent?

The threat to expel Israeli Arabs seems serious enough.

How serious could it be unless Marzel is elected Prime Minister?

But the threat to expel Jews from their homes is not serious at all. Expulsion is acceptable only when applied to Jewish citizens.

Mohammad Barakeh is a Communist and has called supported Palestinian terror time after time.

Mohammad Barakeh wants to see the destruction of Israel yet according to you Baruch who wants to save Israel is the extremist.

Truly leftistism is a mental disease!

Save Israel the same way Hitler saved Germany no doubt.

I believe in the rule of law and Democracy and I'm a leftist? I criticize violent vigilantes who are locked up by the state of Israel and I'm the leftist?

Kahane was a crazed man who was to Israel what Arafat was to the Palestinians. He's mentioned time and time again by the enemies of Israel as an excuse for their murderous actions. We do not need more like him.

Sharon is also mentioned by Israel's enemies as an excuse for their muderous actions. Bush is mentioned as an excuse by America's enemies to justify their actions. Your argument has no merit.

Kahane was as crazed a man as George Bush. He believed in defending his country and not NEGOTIATING with terrorists. OLD LEFT

A matter of fact Sharon and Bush are the most hated men in the Muslim world. For his so called massacres of Muslims, which we know is BS!

Kahane was, in my opinion, crazed for several reasons. He wanted an Iranian style theocracy, including the outlawing of Jewish/Non-Jewish weddings. He wanted to strip Israeli citizens of their nationality and forcibly deport them, including some Druze who were members of the IDF and Christans. When he couldn't get elected to the Knesset he tried to launch a vigilante terror campaign to achieve his goals.

I don't think you have to be a leftist to think that these ideas are a little crazy.

That is more propaganda from the left.

Please show me where he supported created a Jewish theocracy.

Unless you think Pat Robertson was insane then you cannot believe Kahane was insane.

Kahane wanted Israel to be a more religious country in the sense that Pat Robertson wants America to be more religious. And that does not mean forcing people into temples or churches.

Kahane's organizations work closely with Christian organizations so to say Kahane was anti-Christian is a lie.

Is "They Must Go" propaganda? In that book Kahane says his goal is to make Israel a purely Jewish state which, as I see it, would have involved the expulsion of about 400,000 Christians.
