Wasn't it Hitler who said something along the lines of the masses will more easily fall victim to a big lie rather than a small one?Josef Goebbels, Hitler's infamous propaganda chief, was credited with saying:
"If you tell a big enough lie, and keep on repeating it, in the end people will come to believe it."

Good morning.
Ratner's simply lying to help position Hillary as a centrist.
Like nuconvert (and Dog's new tagline) said...
"Apparently they keep forgetting that there's an internet, too."

And it figgers that the Dems would swipe a page out of Hilter's playbook. Wasn't it Hitler who said something along the lines of the masses will more easily fall victim to a big lie rather than a small one? IIRC it was goebbels who said, tell a lie long enough and people will believe it(i.e today's modern democrat lie, "hillary is a conservative democrat").

Ratner's little performance is all part of an effort on behalf of Hillary's Democratic claque to help her reposition herself. They will describe her as a moderate or conservative, and express disappointment that she is not more liberal, while supporting her candidacy. All this in an attempt to dupe unsuspecting voters into believing that Hillary has changed her liberal stripes.
RIGHT ON THE MONEY! The media propaganda machine is leading the charge for 2008, I don't know if I can take 4 years of this CRAP!!

Ratner is one of the Dems worst pundits - she doesn't spin too well. She's almost laughable and many times downright irritating with her pronouncements.
On the other hand, I guess I can use that description for almost all Lib pundits.

We are starting to see the beginnings of the greatest political con job in our history. They (liberals) are using every psychololgical tool possible to create the impression that this is destiny (her election).
Problem is, although she will do everything she can to avoid any questions that might disprove her "brilliance", every stupid public statement she makes (Iraq), brings scrutiny. Once the PR reaches it's peak, she has only one way to go. Down. And it will happen.

Time to dust off the conveniently swept aside issues of White Water, Rose Law Firm and FBI files........

I am a loyal FOX follower but when Ratner is on a program I turn it off or switch channels. I absolutely refuse to watch a "Bitch" that made the statement that she wished the war would go badly.
I put up with the leftist they have on but Ratner, never. Ratner and her family must have a lot of clout because FOX swept that under the rug real quickly.

Thanks! Hitler got in a few words on the subject as well:
The great masses of the people...will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one.

Ellen Ranting Ratner's mouth engages independently and separately from her brain.
She is somewhat right, however. Hillary and cohorts (MSM, etc.) are positioning Hillary to the center/right of center. [Remember, that is where ole Bill moved. It worked for him; they expect it to work for her.]
Hillary is already to the right of many of the big-name Pubbies on illegal immigration. She is making that an issue for '08 and the GOP/GWB have yet to address the issue effectively. It is causing a split in the GOP. It is a bigger issue than GOP/GWB want to admit.
Hillary is positioning herself as a hawk on defense. The Dems have been notoriously weak on defense after Lyndon Johnson. Even the last election Dean captured much support from the anti-defense (called anti-war) wing. Even Kennedy and Kerry are closer to the Deaniacs than a significant chunk of their own party are. Hillary has sense enough to see that, after 9-11, defense is now a major issue. The Deaniac/Kerry/Kennedy wing are still living in the early 70's anti-war protest era. Kerry was on his way to winning, until the OBL tape surfaced pre-election weekend and reminded many that terrorism was a continuing threat.
The Hillary makeover will be slow, through her '06 reelection. After that, she will be able to be more open and aggressive at running for the WH. After---her re-election. Then the MSM will jump on her train. Remember how they covered for Kerry -- a do nothing for 20 years in the Senate who ran on 4 months in Vietnam 35 years ago and got several medals, some by questionable methods, etc. When Hillary starts her 'public' run (she is already running in private), the MSM will pile on board and help her in every conceivable way.
By the '08 election cycle, MSM will have her anointed Saint Hillary of Ark. They will cover every base to make her into the savior for the party, the nation, the world, the universe and beyond.
As for the wart...they were all vetted already in her book tour in, so there will no need to dredge up all the old history. [The MSM will cover up for her just like they did for Kerry. Remember, that half of the young voters will barely remember the Clinton presidency. Those who were age 12, for example when Clinton left office, will be 20 in '08. They won't have the cognizance of bClinton's presidency and they will have been brainwashed into thinking his impeachment was about sex---not about the perjury under oath. They won't relate Hillary to any of Bill's ills. [Remember how 'out of sight' she was the last few years of Bill's presidency?]
Ranting Ratner is correct. Hillary will be made to look more and more conservative. By the '08 cycle, she will have been remade to make Regan look like a liberal. lol.

therefore all conservatives, republicans must push the following line, every time Hitlery is mentioned:
Hillary Clinton is an ultra left wing Marxist posing as a moderate, and if elected would be the nations first communist president.
her presidency would make people think Carter was a great statesman.

Good point. Is there a counterpart to Ellen Ratner on the Republican side?
For that matter is there a counterpart to Hillary Clinton, Al Sharpton, Howard Dean, John Kerry, Bill Clinton, Jesse Jackson, etc., etc., etc., on the Republican side.
How fair, how balanced, FOCKS?

I also thought it was very telling and typically hypocritical when RATner quipped about a possible Rice vs. Clinton 2008 match-up "She (Rice) has never been elected to anything."
I guess that long list of Hitlery's electoral victories automatically qualifies her for the Presidency.

If I may, FNC was balanced. They usually have Newsday's Jim Pinkerton on with Ms. Rattner. He's also the long in the Long and the Short of It.
