LOUISVILLE, KY Pizza for breakfast is nothing new. But Papa John's is testing something more than cold leftovers.
A Papa John's in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, is offering pizza omelettes and pizza pastries to the breakfast crowd. It's the only outlet in the country that's test-marketing the AM pizzas.
The pizzeria uses the same six-inch crust used at stadium concession stands. Customers can get a variety of ingredients in their pizza omelettes, including cheese, sausage, ham and green pepper.
Officials of Papa John's say if the marketing test works out well, the breakfast offerings could be expanded to other outlets.

Instead of coming out with new products, they should improve the quality of their current products. Five years ago their pizzas were great, now they flat out suck.

This fills the only remaining hole in my culinary fantasies. Behold - it's pizza
three times a day!
Now, if Coke would only make Breakfast Coke, I wouldn't feel weird about drinking it before noon.

They could easily use existing equipment to make handheld breakfast quiches like I had in Normandy. Very tasty and handy too.

Papa John's business is stagnating...they are looking to jumpstart it somehow.
BTW, CiCi's Pizza is the next big thing....looking forward to their public offering.

Breakfast Coke?

There's a pizza place here in downtown Boston that's been doing the breakfast pizza thing for awhile.

Papa John's is still better than Domino's or Pizza Hut. Plus, you can order pizza online.

I had this idea almost 15 years ago, when I was delivering pizzas at college. Use a cream-based instead of tomato-based sauce, and have toppings include cheese, scrambled eggs, ham, mushroom, bacon, peppers, onions, etc. As a college kid, I would have loved a breakfast pizza, especially on "big game" football Saturdays.

Which is a shame, because the company is good. My wife just took our girl scout troop to a local Papa John's this week for a tour, and PJ's was great...let the kids all make their own pizza, toss pies, and gave them coupons for free pizza.

There's alot of people that start their day with Coke.
Oh, I'm sorry-you meant Coca Cola

I agree, been doing it for years at home.
And I have to confess, Kellog's Frosted Flakes are great for dinner, too. They're GREAT!!!
