Senator Kerry, the Democratic nominee for President of the United States will receive the distinguished American Award from the Kennedy Library Foundation. He will share his thoughts on U.S. policies both home and abroad with Pulitzer Prize winning Boston Globe columnist Tom Oliphant.
John Kerry will state that even though he lost this election his policies are being carried out. Barf, Barf, Barf!
you could bring along a few pieces of paper...and a pen...
John Kerry is just so representative of everyone in New England. The typical elitest attitude. Everyone in New England pretty much bites.
:) Hehehe!
I would rather do something more enjoyable(stabbing myself repeatedly in the eye with an ice pick) than listen to these 2 losers.
Is Johnny kinda lost without all the attention???
I honestly couldn't think of two bigger losers than Kerry and Oliphant!
as in 'the hand that feeds you?"
hehheh
I have a feeling that John Kennedy is screaming from above that it is a travesty to give John Kerry "the distinguished American Award"---
this is as bad as Bush the Dad gave Teddy Kennedy that award last year----
I don't get it---
1. Traitorous activity during and after the Vietnam war.
2. Being elected a Senator time and again while doing nothing special.
3. Losing a presidential election.
Yeah, he deserves a medal ... oops, an award. That may be a little more difficult to throw at the White House in protest.
can someone ping this to the mass. freepers?
Another NO CLASS Nominee from the Democrats, even Al Gore shut up for a while.
Did John Kerry nominate himself for THIS award too? Based on his own after action report of the 2004 election? Will he throw it over any fences? Enquiring minds want to know.
ping
That ought to be a real yawn fest.

For those who say the GOP can't acknowledge Swift Boat Vets,
they are wrong.
Karl Rove also exposed the false testimony by Hanoi Kerry in 1971
Rove Credits Swiftvets With 'Energizing' Bush Vote (Thank You Karl Rove!)
"...Rove recalled that his uncle had done several tours of duty in Vietnam.
I've never been able to think of Colonel Verhi as somebody who would have
'raped and pillaged in a manner reminiscent of Genghis Khan,'"
a reference to Kerry's 1971 Senate testimony where he accused Vietnam veterans
of committing widespread atrocities."
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1345603/posts
Viet Nam Vet Ollie North nailed Hanoi Kerry on his false 1971 testimony.
"Kerry testified under oath before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 1971 that Americans in Vietnam had "raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war."
Set aside the horrific and defamatory nature of these accusations and ask this: Did he witness these atrocities? Did he try to stop them? If not, was he held accountable for dereliction of duty? If he knows the perpetrators, did he ever see that they were brought to justice? If not, why?"

And FR's own Interesting Times nailed Hanoi Kerry for his lies in 1971

Or how could Kerry have a top secret clearance,

Who in the US Senate has seen ALL of Kerry's military records?

Or why Kerry is still in the US Senate.

Those who go there to freep should beware the extreme black hole of stupidity that will suck very, very hard. :-)
I don't get PBS, I have no idea.
Imagine, those two liars in conversation!
I do not!! LOL I get the humor there, but ouch!!
If someone has a MA ping list, I would like to be added to it!
""Those who go there to freep should beware the extreme black hole of stupidity that will suck very, very hard. :-)""
Not to mention the stench, and the need for a bath!! Oh and, there are ordinances in place, DO NOT use the restrooms!

John Kerry, reporting for duty.
Cheesy. Theatrical. And, as staged at this week's national Democratic convention, certain to energize groups of Vietnam veterans who bitterly oppose Kerry's anti-war activism.
"It's not so much what Kerry did in country -- though his three purple hearts were for scratches -- but it was what he did when he came back home," says retired Army Col. Jack Peevy of Alpharetta. "He lied about my soldiers. . . . What he told were baldfaced lies, and he has never apologized to us in the military."
Peevy, a 30-year veteran who served in the Central Highlands of Vietnam as an airborne rifle platoon leader, was shot seven times in a firefight with North Vietnamese regulars.
Veterans such as Peevy are incensed at Kerry. They think his anti-war activism caused harm to comrades left behind in Vietnam and contributed to turning public opinion against them at home. Kerry testified before the U.S. Senate on April 22, 1971, that his group, Vietnam Veterans Against the War, had investigated and found that "war crimes committed in Southeast Asia [are] not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command."
It's a view Kerry holds today, as he confirmed in an interview just before the March presidential primary in Georgia.
"Do you still believe," I asked, "the testimony that you gave in April of 1971 that atrocities were commonplace and that they occurred with the knowledge of the officer corps?"
His reply:
"Yeah, they did. I mean they just did. I never blamed individual soldiers for it. . . . You know, it's not pretty but it's the truth, and it's something we have to deal with. . . ."
"So you still believe that those atrocities that you described in that testimony occurred?"
"I know that they did. It's not a question of whether I believe that they did. I know that they did, and there are individual soldiers all across America that know that they did."
The Internet has become the information network uniting Vietnam veterans deeply offended by Kerry's characterizations of them. One group, Swift Boat Veterans for Truth (www.swiftvets.com), posts a 1969 photo of Kerry and 19 of his fellow Swift boat commanders. Touch the screen and only those who support him remain visible. Only two remain. Four commanders were not present. "Only two of John Kerry's 23 fellow Swift boat commanders from Coastal Division 11 support his candidacy today," the group declares.
Another Web site, of an organization called Vietnam Vets for the Truth, is www.kerrylied.com. The group's president is retired Navy Capt. Larry Bailey of Mount Vernon, Va. "John Kerry told the world we were war criminals who raped, tortured and murdered in Vietnam," Bailey writes. "Now, 33 years later, we will tell America the truth."
Bailey's group, and others, are organizing a remembrance rally on the west front of the U.S. Capitol for 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12. "This is NOT a Republican or pro-Bush rally," writes Bailey. "Our gathering is to remember those with whom we served, thereby giving the lie to John Kerry's smear against a generation of fine young men."
Still another is the extensively documented www.wintersoldier.com, a Web site "dedicated to the American veterans of the Vietnam War, who served with courage and honor."
The Web site states that, despite the testimony of Kerry and others, war crimes in Vietnam were the exception, not routine. The 1971 Winter Soldier tribunal Kerry helped moderate "turned out to be, in the words of historian Guenter Lewy, 'packed with pretenders and liars.' "
"There were a few cases that some atrocities were committed," agrees Peevy. "But I feel assured that they were punished and they were not widespread. He [Kerry] is the single-most [dominant] source of whatever negative image the Vietnam warrior has."
Just a joke only. Not all of New Englanders are elitests. Just Boston area people. Their noses are way in the air. :)
I'm only kidding! Some of the difference makers come from Boston. Great city.
LOL thanks bitt!!
George W. Bush: Man of Transparency.
John F. Kerry: Man of Secrecy.
You have a traitor Kerry ping list? Please include me, too - thanks!
And a hello to gidget7, nice to see ya - LOL!
How are you JLO.
I always want to call you JKO, don't know why but I double check and get it right :) Wish I was closer to Boston, or the weather was better, one of the 2, so I could freep this thing. It would turn my stomach but for a good cause!
gotcha.
Tonk, you're too funny. We all get PBS - just like we all get ABC, CBS and NBC. You're like me though! PBS is turned off from my remote tuner. If, I ever want to view in my area, I can dial 8 locally.
If one REALLY wants to watch a wacked-out station, it's on dish network called FSTV (Free Speech TV). Station 9410 or 9416 or like that.
Protestors galore. Our Dummie Funnies live and on stage.
"We all get PBS - just like we all get ABC, CBS and NBC"
I don't get any of these on my satellite.
Well, you might want to think of J-E-L-L-O.
Jiggly, or wiggly :-)
Don't make me post that photo.
What was the award for? Being the most distiguished Senator at not ever showing up for work? I feel sorry for all the people who truly do deserve this award. John Kerry has just cheapened it.
Thanks for the ping!
You silly, I'm not talking about your satellite stations. You know, the other remote for local stations. Turn the satellite remote off.
Freepmail your zip code or answer here, and I'll find your PBS station for you, FRiend Tonk.
"You know, the other remote for local stations. Turn the satellite remote off."
There are no locals stations where I live.
The nearest are 30 miles away.
The terrain blocks out the local channels.
And I only get one AM station on the radio.
I use satellite for TV signal.
A 2nd satellite for internet access.
Sounds like you live in a lovely place. Seriously.
Holy cow, you are in the boonies. Us too. I don't understand why you can't get a local TV station, unless you don't have an antenna.
Closest stations to us are 100 miles, but we can get them. There is an antennaa on the roof, though.

HEY!
there happens to be a lot of us up here that are dyed in the wool conservative Republicans - it ain't easy being surrounded by flatlander traitors to our country.
My family goes back almost 400 years here - and NONE of us are liberals or demoRATS...
Don't you start dumping on us too - :o(
note to self: wipe tears, get the cat, go to bed
:) Just kidding. Nice cat.
I get no local channels.
No outside antenna.
And in a low spot.
