It now appears that Jeff Gannon could be the thread that unravels the real story behind the TANG/CBS forgeries. I have put together a case here that if looked at carefully by the blogosphere would show that the TANG forgeries were made by the White House, probably Dan Bartlett, and then given to Bill Burkett by a former associate of Karl Rove, Roger Stone. Stone's wife, Nydia, who is Cuban, was most likely the Hispanic lady on the phone who convinced Burkett the documents were real and that he should burn them after copying them to protect her honor.

Gannon was apparently used by the White House to ID Mapes as the CBS producer and to try and conflate the Abu Ghraib photos she revealed as sourceless as the TANG docs.

The main point of this diary is that Gannon was being used by the White House to ID Mapes to send the news media in a certain direction on that story --very similar to showing him the CIA memo on Plame and the Shock and Awe scoop. In all instances, it's Gannon who is given hot information to help orchestrate the story.
THIS, PLUS THE FREEPER BUCKHEAD'S IMMEDIATE DISCOVERIES ON THE FORGERIES, PLUS THE EVIDENCE I GIVE BELOW ON ROGER STONE, MAKES IT CLEAR THE WHITE HOUSE WAS BEHIND THE TANG FORGERIES THEMSELVES.

The originator of the documents had to be someone Mapes/Rather/CBS would believe actually had access to the old TANG files.
Ann Richards, as Governor could authorize someone to search the Texas files.
Her campaign manager, Glenn Smith was the one who originally started the TANG rumor in 1994.
MoveOn/Soros hired Glenn Smith to counter the Swift Boat heroes, and set him up in business under the name Texans For Truth.
Glenn Smith's job was to get out the "truth" that Bush was a bad Texas reservist.
Why won't people simply recognize that the person hired to get the story out was the one who did it?
I was quoted in the LA Times saying Buckhead is Karl Rove.

Just found this re: Gannon/Guckert
There is a member listed at Classmates.com for a "James Guckert", who attended Lincoln College Prep Academy in Philadelphia, PA, from 1976-1980.
What I found most interesting is that this James Guckert just joined classmates.com this week. Now, I know that if every aspect of my life was being scrutinized, one of the first things I would think of doing would be to join an online alumni site.
Maybe someone who is a gold member could investigate a little further...

I saw The DailyKos in the ckeckout aisle of my supermarket. The front page had photo of a Giant UFO landing on a US aircraft carrier. Last week they had another "Bat Boy" story.
It was Colonel Mustard, in the kitchen, with a typewriter.
