On a story about "The Simpsons" upcoming episode on Gay Marriage in Springfield the Free Republic was shown as a thread about the show was being scrolled on screen. The Web Site was not directly attributed except to say that a 'Blog' was debating about the espisode.
What was shown, IMO, was a thread obvioulsy from the Free Republic.
A bit off topic, but I'm very worried about "The Simpsons". The past 3 or 4 episodes have been filled with left wing drivel. The one about prescription drugs was so not funny I couldn't watch it.
Hhhmmmm....time to call the owner of FR? Perhaps a stern warning letter is in order!
Sue the liberal-demokkkRAT infidels!
(why is it converted to jimrob, instead of what I put in as JimRob?)
Truth be told, we are not only the preeminent conservative news site, but one of the most prominent news discussion boards of all time.
Furthermore, no other board is as accommodating and as easy to navigate. That's where the Robinson's excel.
They sling great HTML!
BTW you have pinged someone else....LOL!
Fixing my tagline; ignore this post. Thankyousomuch, all.
ABC's Sunday night Boston Legal started out as the most brilliant show on tv, but within a couple of months went into a tailspin from which it may not recover thanks to the addition of Candace Bergen and apparently a whole new slew of writers who are using the show to champion their favorite liberal causes.
I'm bereft, as it was a topnotch clever drama.
IMO, there's nothing left to watch on tv but reality shows. I'm starting a thread this coming weekend for the next Amazing Race, which will begin March 1 and run for a couple of months (Tuesday nights, 9 pm Pacific, CBS). It's just a hoot. But of course, even reality shows do what they can to make the audience pay attention to liberal causes, like casting gay "couples" as contestants.
Sorry for the inane ping, you both. Signing off...
Why you leaving.....you doing an opus?
I've seen that footage before on the broadcast news.
It's probably file footage, sort of like whenever FoxNews has a story about computers, they show file footage in background.
Unfortunately, if you look closely at the footage, you'll notice that it's recycled, and usually very old.
The aforementioned FoxNews file footage shows a computer with the Apple website homepage on it. The big news showing on that web page is the announcement of MacOS 8.5! When was that, last century? LOL I saw that very footage on FoxNews just las week.
Most times the file footage has no relation to the story.
Hubby tells me VERTIGO is on tonight...Alfred Hitchcock movie.
This is a Blog...
This is a Forum...
This is a worthless pile of DUng...
Boston legal is rather political for my taste but soemtimes its pretty damn funny for a show that really shouldnt be.
THe Simpsons has always been a "conservative" show. Prolly more libertarian though in reality. But I think they take chances to make fun of whatever they can. In all out reality though Simpsons has gone down hill since like season 10.
However the superbowl episode was clearly a shot at the leftist with the idiot woman talking about values and what nto and how they dont get that from the bible. it was so clearly a shot at the -Anti-ThePassion/Christian movement. At IMO. But what do I know. I will probably be flamed soon by some guy who finds my views "too liberal." :(
So let's see... we have a cartoon commenting on the affairs of this country along with Hollywierd types and the news media like ABC.
Oddly, I don't see much of a difference between any of them.
Somebody brought up the episode and that we should boycott it. 80% of the responses were that the original poster should get a life.
Yup.
