'WASHINGTON - Sen. John F. Kerry's brash offer to meet privately with former foe President Bush [related, bio] to discuss foreign policy before Bush's meetings abroad next week with key European leaders has apparently fallen on deaf ears at the White House.
``We've offered to have Sen. Kerry (D-Mass.) meet with President Bush to discuss his trip to Iraq, if the White House is interested,'' Kerry spokesman David Wade said yesterday. ``There are many areas where genuine bipartisanship would make a difference in leading our country forward, whether in national security or children's health care.''
The White House declined comment on Kerry's recent overture.
A senior Kerry aide telephoned White House Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card Jr. earlier this month to make the meeting offer, a source confirmed.
But as of last night, Kerry had not received any response from the White House.

LOL! What a clown.
``we would be far better off today'' had the U.S. followed Kerry's Iraq policies instead of the Bush plan.
WHAT PLAN ?..IS HE FOR REAL >>>>>>>?
I have a Plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan
sKerry's Plan
1) Build up Iraqi Police forces FASTER so we can get out earlier
2) Have Elections (whoops... Bush must have 'stole' that part)
3) Get more International Help
The friggin' smacktard don't realize that 1) was ALWAYS the plan, 2) goes without saying, and 3) was a pipedream when he said it and is progressing just as fast now as can be expected.
It would be patheic if the fool didn't amuse me so much.
Enjoy it while we can :)
IIRC Kerry considered the President an idiot as in the quote "I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot". This whole thing is just another chapter in a bizarre life.
LOOOOOOOOSER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope bitterschweet for effenkerry. . .
What part part of 'loser' can this self-described, intellectual giant not understand?
"I can counsel you on foreign policy!"
LOL, this is funny and pathetic. Kerry will take a little longer for his irrelevance to sink in. Even Democrats were chattering when Kerry spoke during McAulliffe's send-off. Apparently, no one wants his opinion.
LOL, mayber Kerry should instead offer to meet with someone interested........hmmmmm, nothing coming to mind right now.
I think a wonderful response would be to send SKERRY
an MP3 256MB memory stick
FULL of nothing but . . . [Cue 'The Hills Are alive . . . ]
THE SOUNDS OF FLATULANCE!
Sorry IT not I
Well, GWB is having a...ummmm...working dinner with Chirac, so that isn't entirely true. But in Kerry's world, Chirac is the best ally we have, so he'll never know the difference. [snicker]
