"Muslims to 'kick' Americans out of region"

LONDON, Jan 15 (IranMania) - Iran's influential former president, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, told Muslims in the weekly Friday sermon to "kick" Americans out of region, Agence France Press (AFP) reported.

"The Muslims should take advantage of the political openness and kick the Americans out of the region," Rafsanjani said in a sermon broadcast on state radio.

"The United States cannot mislead people any more and claim that they want to bring about freedom and the democracy... the shame of Abu Gharib and Guantanamo still trails the US and it cannot claim to speak about human rights," said Rafsanjani, now the head Iran's arbitration body.

According to the AFP report, Rafsanjani also asked Iraqis to resist and not "to be afraid of the American and British soldiers and the terrorists who attack the leaders," referring to assassination of an aide to Iraq's top Shiite leader Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani on Wednesday.

More double-speak by morally reprehensible Islamists. what else is new? The people involved in Abu Ghraib is being prosecuted. How many of the atrocities committed in the name of Islam will ever be prosecuted?

The 9-11 attacks were committed in the name of Islam.

I'd say they have been prosecuted very well so far.

The Ayatollah Beheshti got a nasty surprise one day. He and a lot of his followers were blown up in the city of Qum. For those who have forgotten who this Ayatollah was; he was the one that kicked the eight dead American bodies after the failed attempt to rescue the hostages held in Iran.

I hate to submit facts here, but Indonesia has been having tons of rebel troubles for a long, long time. Foreign troops there are anathema to the Indonesians...ever since they dumped the Dutch a few decades ago.

I hate to rain on the Islam tirade parrade but this really has to do with Indonesian politics that pre-date Islamic terrorism.

My apologies for the wet blanket.
Just the facts, ma'am.

Good morning, Pilot.

I've heard of unrest in the younger populace in Iran but what about the military? Which way would they go?

During the revolution in 1978 - 1979, the military were divided along supporting the Shah and those that had deep religious convictions. The ones that backed the Shah were soon disposed of after the revolution.

"...... the shame of Abu Gharib and Guantanamo still trails the US....."

The REAL shame is that we haven't yet delivered sufficient levels of death and destruction to major centers of militant Islamist support..

the shame of Abu Gharib and Guantanamo still trails the US

How nice that Rafsanjani doesn't even have to create his own propaganda, because CBS & Friends have already given it to him on a silver platter.

How many U.S. soldiers have been killed or friendly Arab civilians murdered because of the lies of Mary Mapes, Dan Rather, John Kerry, Terry McAuliffe, Pinch Sulzberger, and their circle of lying traitors? They are all smart enough to know that these lies, cooked up to sway the American election by demonizing Bush, would spread throughout the Arab world and increase their murderous hatred for us.

I call it treason, deliberate and malicious treason, hoping we would lose the war against our terrorist enemies so they could regain political power.
