The answer is obvious. Excuse us for trying to help. We should leave and return to what we were doing. No point being where we are not wanted. We shouldn't leave them any money either.

Hey, we offered help, they declined it. Doesn't make US the bad guy, now does it?

The Indonesian government said foreign troops would be out of the country by March 31. "A three-month period is enough, even sooner the better," Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla said Tuesday.

Any word on whether Jusef Kalla's pointed middle-finger poked skyward in the general direction of the Lincoln has yet been folded back into his fist?

The USS Abraham Lincoln's diversion, which was not expected to affect aid flights, came as the White House asked the Indonesian government to explain why it appears to be demanding that the U.S. military and other foreign troops providing disaster relief leave the country by the end of March.

Bush is asking why, rather than saying OK Indonesia, wish granted?

Who knows what's really going on out there, and don't post it if you do.

As I said in FR post: U.S. Should Not Help Tsunami Victims

Bleep the Osbama T-shirt wearing muslims in Indonesia! You're either wit' us or your again' us!

I hate to be cynical but they've claimed over 200,000 dead but won't allow anyone to verifiy the number because they're blocking access to the disaster areas. Does the UN contribute money and manpower based on the number of dead?

I always felt that the only thing we should have been delivering to the Indonesian Muslims on Aceh were cluster bombs.

Sorry,

my patience with satanic idiocy has reached a new low.

Leave em in the dust.

Let em cope with their own dead, wounded and shell shocked.

Let em cope with the consequences of refusing to pay attention to our warning 20 minutes after the big quake of a possible tsunami.

Let em cope with the consequences of their idiocies of biting the hand reaching down to lift them out of the sewers of chaos and literal sewers washing over their lives and hopes.

Let em cope with the consequences of arrogance, pride, pettiness and self-righteousness.

Cast them adrift and let God deal with them more directly and see how much they like that any better, or not.

God says that returning evil for good will result in evil never leaving that household.

I am sure the libs would say this is an example of why the UN alone should handle this type of thing.

They couldn't be more wrong. This is the core of why the UN is a complete failure: It does not exist to perpetuate itself but to foster good relations between nations. In this case, the UN should be standing up and telling the Indonesian government "Grow up and act like a responsible government and take the US assistance. You should be grateful."

Instead, Koffi Annan will smile that benevolent smile of his and gently say that this is why the US was wrong to go off on its own, and the UN itself will control the aid...to which America can be free to contribute.

The UN is like an emissary who believes he is not a carrier of messages from his employer but, because he's the one talking, the ORIGINATOR of those messages.

Well done, come on home. And when the New York Times bitches at Bush, we should tell them to knock off the political crap and write a few op-eds putting the blame where it belongs--the government of Indonesia, and the UN which no doubt will make sure it doesn't suffer anything for this silly. childish and petulant temper tantrum, putting its pride ahead of its people.

We should pull all our people out of there. Let them stew in their own farts. I'm sick of the lack of gratitude. We get attacked no matter how much we unselfishly do and give. Let's see what these turds can do on their own.

Dammit

This problem demonstrates why there can NEVER be peace in the world. You can't get governments and extremists to set aside their hatreds long enough to receive FREE help during natural disasters.

Starving, poor people are ONCE AGAIN used as punching bags by their own leaders.

Let disease and starvation ravage those countries too hateful to accept assistance.

I think it's a more than reasonable request. We're treading on foreign territory. We should respect their request.

Please remember that we are helping because it's the right thing to do! We shouldn't expect any sort of thanks or any sort of exclusionary treatment by foreign governments.
