I am sorry about the loss. But what part of "BARRICADE" did this woman not understand?
To: EveningStar
I guess she's like Dems and thinks the rules don't apply to her. How would that water DARE get in her way--she had to get home!

My guess is that she is a recent transplant from Compton. Nothing against Comptonites, but they can be stubborn when it comes to these things.

I have actually seen people drive around the gate that comes down when a train approaches.

I think some type of criminal negligence charges are in order.
And I hope they did a drug test on this idiot to see if that played a part in her lapse of critical thinking skills.

"They went past the barricades and tried to drive across the water. They saw water rolling across the road yet they tried go through it," Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Mike McCormick said Monday. "We are very lucky we didn't lose three more people."

She wouldn't have done too well in the dryer, either.

Sheesh, there's a reason they put barricades sometimes!
So sad, pray for the little girl.

Ping for mothers and other caring ladies. :)

Does this woman have a name? You won't find it in the article. Strange.
To: EveningStar
There are reports that the barricade said "flooded," not road closed, at the time, and that the media is making her sound a whole lot worse than she should.

San Antonio had a big problem with Mexican residents driving around baricades and getting into trouble at low-water crossings. Deaths didn't seem to deter these people who think they are immortal, but when the city started fining them big bucks for every rescue they had to do, the problem was pretty much solved over night.
To: EveningStar
This woman will have some heart-breaking regrets.

I wonder why she didn't send a 2 year old child up alone in the chair? First.
