Truck crash kills 1, hurts 15. Carried illegal entrants; was fleeing police. (Illegals again!)

One person died and at least 15 others were seriously injured Saturday when a pickup truck loaded with illegal entrants crashed while trying to evade police on U.S. 191 south of Willcox.

About 6 p.m., a Department of Public Safety officer on patrol saw the Ford F250 northbound on the highway near Sunsites, about 25 miles south of Willcox. The officer checked the vehicle's license plate, which confirmed the truck was stolen, said Officer Frank Valenzuela, a DPS spokesman in Phoenix.

The officer tried stopping the truck, which then fled.

About the same time the officer called in a pursuit on his radio, the driver of the truck lost control and crashed, Valenzuela said.

The truck was the only vehicle involved in the collision, Valenzuela said. There was no estimate of the truck's speed or cause of the collision in preliminary information.

One person was dead at the scene and at least 15 others were seriously injured. Officers suspect a number of other people ran from the collision. All are believed to be illegal entrants, Valenzuela said.

Several helicopters from Tucson and surrounding areas took the injured to hospitals.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Department assisted the DPS in securing the area, said spokeswoman Carol Capas. A deputy was headed to assist before the crash but didn't arrive at the scene until afterward, she said.

As Southern Arizona's only Level 1 trauma center, University Medical Center received three of the most serious patients, all adult men, said Katie Riley, a hospital spokeswoman.

Other injured were taken to hospitals in Benson and Willcox.

Illegal "entrants"? I suppose it is more accurate than the PC illegal "immigrants".

We should have an aircap over the border at all times at the ready with Hellfire missles for just such circumstances.

That's got to be good for the economy, right?

I mean, if it were not for these illegal aliens, these helicopters and their crews would be sitting around wasting tax payers dollars by playing cards.

Well, we are making progress, before they used to refer to them as "undocumented migrants." At least the word illegal is in there.

That's always the case. Poncho Villa still lives and steals from us. Where is Gen. "Black-Jack" Pershing when we need him?!!!!

At first the article sounds like it's the truck that is alive and the illegals are along for the drive like hostages hehehe. " The officer tried stopping the truck, which then fled"
Maybe i've been up too long or i've been exposed to free republic too much hehe

Amnesty International, the UN Human Rights Commission, and the ACLU would have had a conniption. That would have been good to watch especially if we had someone like Sheriff Arapio tell them all quite bluntly to "STUFF IT!"

Why the legal US Citizens and taxpayers of the state of Arizona, of course.

Like I said another means of theft by Mexico. Perhaps it's time for another punative mission into Mexico like the one Gen Pershing did.

That's just the way the left writes.

It's never a human's fault (unless it's an evil god believing, bible reading, church going, gun owning, conservative human), it's always the fault of an otherwise inanimate object.

One Mexican dead and 15 others in the hospital at taxpayers expense. Taxpayers will end up paying for the funeral of the deceased one too. This wreck alone will probably cost the taxpayers of the USA a quarter of a million dollars.
