TORONTO, January 3, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The life of notorious Canadian abortionist Henry Morgentaler is championed in a new made-for-television movie, Choice: The Henry Morgentaler Story, produced by CTV. Morgentaler gained notoriety for defying Canadian law in 1967 by opening Canada's first abortuary in Montreal.
The ctv.ca description of the movie highlights that the "January 2005 airdate coincides with the 17th anniversary of the Supreme Court of Canada decision to change the country's abortion laws (Jan. 28/1988) and the 35th anniversary of Morgentaler's decision to end his practice as a GP and to begin illegal committing abortions (1970)."
While visiting the movie set in Montreal, Morgentaler commented: "This is my legacy to Canada, and I'm flattered to have been approached about the film as a record of my achievements."
Morgentaler's physical legacy, along with Canada's other abortion activists and allied pro-abortion politicians, has been the violent deaths of well over 2 million unborn Canadian pre-born children and the physical and psychological damage experienced by many of the mother of those aborted children.
According to an Ipsos/Reid polled commissioned by the CTV to correspond with the announcement of the movie, 73 percent of Canadian women aged 18 to 35 had never heard of Morgentaler.

That should go over big on Judgment Day!
Catholic Ping - please freepmail me if you want on/off this list
I'm so ashamed to be Canadian right now...not that I haven't been for 21 years...
Ping!
It sure is. A sane society would have hung him.
I was thinking the same thing. When the Lord says "Whatever you have done to the least of these my children, you have done unto me," will it be followed by "Depart from Me ye worker of iniquity" or "Well done thou good and faithful servant" ?
I believe that subconsciously, this man Morgantaler is exacting HIS revenge for the holocaust. If he is, then he is damned.
Hey, I read your profile page...Welcome to FR!
<< It is as well to remember that the NAZI party was originally the National Socialist German Workers Party. It was not, as far as I know, Christian. Many Germans though were Christians. >>
Hitler and the rest of the Nazis were death-worshipping, pagan-heathen/pantiest Satanists and to suggest that Christians and/or Christianity were in any way responsible for the manifestation of evil personified in that gang is a scurrilous and profane libel of Christians and of Christianity.
<< I believe that subconsciously, this man Morgantaler is exacting HIS revenge for the holocaust. If he is, then he is damned. >>
I have heared Morgantaler speak on the subject and have seen a documentary about him which featured his visit to European death camps and have not the slightest doubt that he is consumed with hatred and rage against Christians and Christianity, equates us with the Nazi scourge -- and that your flash of insight was intuitive -- a gift from God.
Morgantaler has been insanely extracting revenge from the innocent for The Holocaust.
Word of Advice: On Judgement Day do not be standing too close to the evil bastard!
<< I'm a 21 year old commercial pilot from British Columbia, Canada .... >>
TWU?
Welcome to FR.
Blessings B A
Thank you very much. I feel very at home here. It's a nice change.
No. I didn't go to TWU. I did my degree at BCIT, in a somewhat related field of Airport Operations Management and Technology Management.
I'm a pilot, too. A/F 1959-64; aviation colleges in New Zealand in 64-65 [CPL] and NB [ATP] in 70-71. Have a place in BC -- and Lots of friends have done aviation courses at TWU.
Welcome.
LOL!
Nice!! What's equipment is your ATP on? I have a US license only, not Canadian. I'm commercial, multi, IFR, CFI/CFII/MEI...just waiting for the hours to get typed on a 737.
I just suddenly got the impression from my many views of the man in Canada. Many people have paid and paid, over the horrors exacted by Hitler.I know that there is a twisted thought abroad that humanity itself, should still feel guilt over the holocaust. We- who have never been to continental Europe, that speak only English.
I know where the guilt lies- those that actually did these horrible deeds. I have heard his account of being in the concentration camps questioned- needs more research. Of course the crudity of the Quebec police did not do any good either- vis Morgantaler.
<< I had been out around town doing things. I mused on my post and expected to be "flamed". I knew the import of what I said could be badly misconstrued. I wished I had left the name Christians out of it though. >>
I trust you didn't take my response as a "flaming."
I believe your post was inspired and that you put your finger precisely upon the start-point of Morgantaler's psychopathology.
I am a passionate Zionist, spent the Yom Kipur War in Cairo, watched the Israeli raid on Sadam's Osirak nuclear facility, near Baghdad, from four miles away -- and my church [Saint Andrews Anglican Cathedral in Singapore] has very close ties with and very deep roots in Israel.
And I am horrified at the number of Jewish people among my friends and aquaintances who believe -- as does Morgataler -- that "Christians" perpetrated the Holocaust.
$7 million dollars alone in the bank for Henry. An oppulent life style befitting a Hefner. So far so good. The "feminist" author and admirer, chronicles his utter and complete usage of women as sex objects and so on.
None of my business- his life style though- just the utter contradiction on feminism and they love him.
Oh no, definitely not a "flaming" from you. Just we have to be careful. FR had persons years ago trying to smear it with anti semitism- did not fly. Thank heaven you have Jewish friends. Many, moons ago served on the Suez Canal Zone with the British Army- found myself not prejudiced- if I was, I just would have been like many of the lads. Just in case we offend protocol by using this as "chat" I would be pleased for a private reply- if you should continue. Cheers
