I just suddenly got the impression from my many views of the man in Canada. Many people have paid and paid, over the horrors exacted by Hitler.I know that there is a twisted thought abroad that humanity itself, should still feel guilt over the holocaust. We- who have never been to continental Europe, that speak only English.
I know where the guilt lies- those that actually did these horrible deeds. I have heard his account of being in the concentration camps questioned- needs more research. Of course the crudity of the Quebec police did not do any good either- vis Morgantaler.
<< I had been out around town doing things. I mused on my post and expected to be "flamed". I knew the import of what I said could be badly misconstrued. I wished I had left the name Christians out of it though. >>
I trust you didn't take my response as a "flaming."
I believe your post was inspired and that you put your finger precisely upon the start-point of Morgantaler's psychopathology.
I am a passionate Zionist, spent the Yom Kipur War in Cairo, watched the Israeli raid on Sadam's Osirak nuclear facility, near Baghdad, from four miles away -- and my church [Saint Andrews Anglican Cathedral in Singapore] has very close ties with and very deep roots in Israel.
And I am horrified at the number of Jewish people among my friends and aquaintances who believe -- as does Morgataler -- that "Christians" perpetrated the Holocaust.
