ESPECIALLY when it turns out he got special medical/etc. and reduced torture treatment from them in exchange for his special cooperation and letting himself be used like Hanoi Jane was! Fonda-Kerry was worse but McCain is NO war hero, contrary to popular legend....

Sadly, I Think you have EXACTLY DEFINED the "Problem with" John McCain.
We have NO WAY--& NEVER WILL--have a Method to establish WHAT DAMAGE was Done to his mind during his incarceration in N. Vietnam.
Sadly--WE CAN NEVER, EVER, Trust this man!
John McCain MAY BE the GREATEST PATRIOT our Nation has EVER KNOWN,--but we can NEVER Trust him!!---
