The loss of life in the region devastated by the tsunamis is staggering. We're officially over 100,000 dead, and the final number, including those who ultimately succumb to disease, may well exceed 250,000. We cringe at these numbers, yet they approach, if not exceed, the ability of our minds to comprehend loss of life on such a scale. Orlando, Fl, Durham, NC, and Little Rock, Ark, have populations around 200,000. It is as if every man, woman, and child in those cities were wiped from the face of the earth. Take a look here: U.S. Cities with population over 100,000

FYI
It is a disaster of epic proportion.
That is beyond words to think of.
