Thanks, Zionforever.
I never saw a timer there...did you?
LOL.
I've yet to give a professor the answer they want when it comes to these type of subjects. When I had to write an essay last semester about the biggest failure in the Mideast Peace Process, I blamed Clinton and his mess of an administration... I'm sure that was one of the few papers the teacher ever saw from that angle. ;)
It's too bad I need an MA or higher to do what I want to do... I'll certainly keep going against the system on my way though. :)
Why do things like these happen in bunches? Didn't this just happen in NY?
Fire in CTA tunnel injures 2
Tribune staff reports
Published January 28, 2005, 8:21 AM CST
A fire early this morning in a North Side subway tunnel of the Chicago Transit Authority's Red Line forced the evacuation of 30 people from a train and sent two people to the hospital, CLTV reported.
Power was cut off to the tracks while firefighters put out the blaze, but trains were operating normally by the morning rush hour, officials said.
The incident began shortly after 3 a.m. when the operator of a train spotted smoke in the tunnel between the North/Clybourn and Clark/Division stops. The operator stopped the train and ordered it evacuated.
The operator was taken to Grant Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation injuries, officials said. A person who had been standing on the platform of the North/Clybourn station also went to Grant with unspecified injuries.
CTA officials suspect the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction, CLTV reported.

Hello? anyone out there?
It is disconcerting.
Bonfires of the homeless?
The NY fire is being blamed on a 'homeless vagrant'.
We have homeless here too. ;-)
I can't see these things that occur as all being coincidence.
Hi Snakeyes.
There were several of us here at the TM thread who followed IH.
Sorry being a newbie I was thinking TM was a different website. I was scrolling back a bit on this thread, anyway to search it?
There's no good way to search a thread.
As you can see, we're on thread 23 already and heading to thread 24 tomorrow.
Nobody knows much about what happened to IH.
I suppose someone will surface soon enough to explain.
I'm not sure I believe that OBLcrew was able to take the site back.
Cindy,
What are your thoughts of all this stuff going offline? What do you think it means?
FYI - They are starting to back off of the homeless guy theory.

Pakistan police arrest 23 terror suspects
1/28/2005, 9:50 a.m. ET
By NASEER KAKAR
The Associated Press
QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) Police arrested 23 Afghans in raids in the Pakistani border city of Quetta on suspicion of links with Taliban and Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network, officials said Friday.
The suspects, who included a former deputy governor and ex-police chief in Kabul, were captured from three neighborhoods of the city late Thursday and were being interrogated, said Chaudhry Mohammed Yaqub, the police chief in southwestern Baluchistan province, of which Quetta is the capital.
He said the detainees had held "important positions during Taliban's tenure" in Afghanistan, and "we suspect that some of them have close links with al-Qaida."
Yaqub said the suspects were rounded up in coordinated raids, launched after a tip that terror suspects were hiding in the neighborhoods of Kharotabad, Pashtun Abad and Nawan Kili.
"We have also heard that these people were involved in conspiracies against the Afghan government," he said.
Yaqub identified three of the suspects as Mullah Abdur Razzaq, Mullah Sher Dil and Mufti Rehmat Ullah.
Also among the detainees were former Kabul police chief, Mullah Ibrahim, and Mullah Khush Dil, a former deputy governor of Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, a security official said on condition of anonymity.
However, Mullah Hakim Latifi, who claims he speaks for the Taliban, denied that any of their former government officials or Taliban leaders had been arrested in Quetta.
"There is no truth in this claim. Our people live in Afghanistan, not in Pakistan," he told The Associated Press by phone from an undisclosed location.
Pakistan was a Taliban supporter but switched sides to support Washington after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. U.S.-led coalition forces ousted the hardline Islamic militia from power in late 2001.
Since then, Pakistani police and intelligence agents have arrested more than 600 terror suspects, including some al-Qaida operatives, who were later handed over to U.S. officials for further investigation.
It seemed ludicrous from the get go.
One of the first articles mentioned that 2 locks were broken off of this highly sensitive relay room...
"Homeless guy", my a$$.
My husband took the "A" until this week. Now, he says it is a nightmare.
I hope his job moves out of the city soon. I don't know about you but every night before he has to go in, he gets agita. He is a big outgoing confident professional but this isthe first time I ever have heard him verbalize a fear of physically going into the city.
I think of you often when he talks about all this. Stay safe!

Snakeyes, I got pinged to the thread where you asked about itshappening.com. Sorry about the rude greetings, but you accidentally met a lot of the criteria for a troll.
Hang out a bit and observe until you get comfortable. Of course, any information you can add is welcome.
V, thanks for throwing him a line over on the other thread. He was treading water admirably, but those currents can get pretty rough.
PM, Nato boss 'included on terror suspect's death list'

...snip..The names appeared in a chat session that W. was involved in on 19 September 2003, in which W. is said to have used the internet name Mujaheed. He chatted with another person identified as Galas. Parts of the chat session were broadcast by Nova on Thursday night...snip..
I was having trouble with the homeless guy story too. It seems really hard for a fire in a bin on the tracks to spread into a protecte room, even with all the grease and crap in those tunnels.
does anybody know why, exactly? Removed by C@ndi with an eye?
. . . I'm terrible with riddles. . .

Just quickly checking in before a hectic day all.
A thought came to mind, has anyone heard/seen from EOM or Daleel in the past month or two? It's been oddly quiet on their end.

I think I remember that someone here once said they tracked his server down to a university. if that indicated it was a student they would have been on vacation for nearly a month.
