The Silent Majority find a place where their voices can be heard (calling in to talk radio and posting on web logs/forums) and the MSM does not like this dissent from "popular opinion".
Pravda did not like outside competition either.

If Hitler were alive today, he'd have his own blog.
Is that the best they can come up with? The references to Hitler are sooooooo tiring.

He may have helped accelerate a radical decentralization of media power that will turn bloggers into future anchors of their own mini-news programs." |
Wow I never though of "VLogging", of course. With ADSL etc becoming cheaper and accessible to all it is a natural progression. We have lot's to look forward to in the coming decade

"The difference was that everyone was aware the bloggers were biased, while the Argus Leader pretended [they were objective journalists] If the MSM "journalists" would just say that they favor one side or the other it would go a long way toward laundering the fecal stains off journalism's otherwise clean shorts.

Open-source journalism is the new way of vetting news and political reporting.
The knife can cut in both directions but truth is a great thing to have in areas dominated by one news source.

If Stalin were alive, he wouldn't have to. He would already have the New York Times, and the rest of the MSM.

That would be bad.
It takes a lot more time to listen to somebody read a piece of text out loud than to read it yourself.
The Internet not only offers better information qualitatively, it offers more quantitatively.
Vlogs where people read their articles out loud would be a step in the wrong direction.

In July, he explained to readers that "true believers of one stripe or another, no longer content to merely bore spouses and neighbors with their nutty opinions, can now spew forth on their own blogs, thereby playing a pivotal role in creating the polarized climate that dominates debate on nearly every national issue. If Hitler were alive today, he'd have his own blog." Figures the MSM keeps losing.
