winds up his application to the Immigration and Refugee Board Of Canada in Toronto. A private in the 82nd Airborne Division, Hinzman refused to serve because (he says) he feared he would be forced to commit war crimes. WHAT DO YOU THINK? |
Have a great day, and thank you for your service to our country.
Well ya miss the point here.....the loser swore an oath to serve and uphold etc . The person sitting at home behind their computer may not have taken that oath or their nations pay, benefits etc for defending our country. Regardless if the person sitting at home is a coward or not and just know's that the military way of life isn't their cup of tea per se..... they didn't go through an extensive enlistment process, training and day to day duties that clearly was designed to involve combat and a threat to ones life.
Your romper room magic mirror view of the world of who did or didn't serve and posting comments is impressive though.....where can I get such a device ?
This POS is a self proclaimed coward, deserter and thief. To try and defend him in any form or manner with deversion of guilt etc is laughable.....
What do I think?
Well, I've lost friends in this war. They served honorably and fulfilled their obligation - they volunteered. I'll miss them. It is war. It happens.
I've been active duty US Army for 17 years. I've put it all on the line and I'll gladly do it again - I volunteered. I actually look forward to going back to Iraq because there is much work left to be done. We need brave Soldiers in war.
Thankfully, we have many brave Soldiers.
This guy is a chickenshit punk - that's what I think. He's the type (vets have seen this kind come and go...) who gladly accepts all the benefits that come with military service, but who whimpers and whines when it comes time to pay it back.
He's a coward - period.
His line about not "not wanting to commit war crimes" is a cop-out on the highest order.
This POS needs to be handed over to a platoon of Marines who've recently returned from Fallujah. The bravery they exhibited and the sacrifices they made and witnessed are in keeping with the highest standards of military service to this country.
I'm quite sure they wouldn't appreciate one bit his notion that they committed "war crimes" -- and I think they'd find a way to make that point abundantly clear.
This punk disgraced the uniform I wear every day. For that alone, he deserves the maximum punishment allowable for desertion.
Socialist propaganda. Rubbish.
I think he's a d*ck.
If he were icecream he'd be Pralines N D*ck.
I did (10th Marines, GW I 90-91), so I will call the weakling a coward.
He is the poster boy for signing up for the military for all the wrong reasons.
I like that, that's good, can I borrow that some time?
I may have missed the point, you may be right. I'll think about it. In the mean time, thanks for not calling me an ahole.
What a little female sex organ.
L,
Nah, re-read the article.
This guy has no nuts.
I don't do such unless ya pretend to be one........:o)
I'm like you, we all have a opinion, (or we wouldn't be here on FR). Right ,wrong , informed or not they are just our opinions.
Stay safe !
Whoa! . . . Looks like a very angry, hateful Timothy McVeigh type to me. Now that he's gone, let's keep him out of this country.
I'm sure I read/heard he was accok. What war crimes would he be asked to perform? Burn the weenies?
That's COOK, idjit.
Will do, you too, thanks.
He has this timeline of his website:
1996 - Jeremy graduates from high school
1996 - Jeremy and Nga meet
1998 - Jeremy and Nga begin a relationship
2000 - Nga and Jeremy move to Boston
2001 - Jeremy and Nga are married
2001 - Jeremy enlists in the army, after his training, he is posted to Fort Bragg
2002 - Nga and Jeremy begin to attend Quaker meetings
2002 - Jeremy asks to be transferred to non-combat duties; his application is lost
2002 - Jeremy files for conscientious objector status again
2002 - Jeremy is deployed to Afghanistan where he participates in 18 parachute jumps before transferring to non-combative duties
2002 - Liam is born
2003 - Jeremy conscientious objector hearing is held; he is denied
2003 - Jeremy is told he is going to be deployed to Iraq
2004 - Jeremy and Nga leave the US for Canada
He might have enlisted after 9/11. But then files as a CO when learning of his deployment to Afghanistan. His website is littered with his philosophy that War is wrong even under self-defense situations. He probably joined for the benefits before 9/11 and thought he would end up as Global Cop in Sudan or some third world dump. Kind of like the Peace Corps but with better benefits.
Considering his wife is from Laos and her family fled in the 70s as a result of anti-war communists influencing our government to pull out of the region and end support for the anti-communist governments, she should know better and drop this girly-man.
I went to his donor site and donated my thoughts......
The poor sap thought being in the Army meant he could go to and from work with his briefcase every day and get good pay, educational benefits as well as other benefits.
Who me, what me kill someone, not me, that isn't what the recruiting sergeant told me!
Nice try, bucko -
Go to Levenworth - Go directly to Levenworth.
Do not pass go, do not collect $200.00.
And now that I think of it, promptly repay all the salary you were paid perpetrating a fraud against the US Army, US Government, and ALL us tax-payers.
