United States Army deserter Jeremy Hinsman, 26, winds up his application to the Immigration and Refugee Board Of Canada in Toronto. A private in the 82nd Airborne Division, Hinzman refused to serve because (he says) he feared he would be forced to commit war crimes.

I think he should not swear an oath to defend the Constitution and the president against all enemies foreign and domestic and collect taxpayer money in the form of paychecks from the US Army and then decide to change his mind about his duties.
He deserves a firing squad or gallows.

But not to kill. He needs to have a reminder for the rest of his life what he did and what real Americans think about it.

He just needs to borrow Kerry's PR Pimps/Liars, and then he can become a Rat Senator based on his heroic war efforts.

If Canada allows him safe haven, just another excuse for regime change up north - our fellow Conservatives up there will appreciate it.

I think we should force him to swing from the gallows!

If he was my son I would disown him. Fortunately he's leaving the country and, hopefully, will never return. We should line up all the cowards and girlie-boys and escort them across the border. Canada deserves them.

He looks like a 3 year old who was told he couldn't have a toy at K-mart. I'll bet the tears weren't far behind. I believe the in-vogue term is GIRLYMAN!!!

I heard an interesting suggestion in a gun store earlier this week.
If this twit will have the US Consul over, and sign the papers renouncing his US Citizenship, in front of witnesses, then we should be happy to see him out of our politics and our gene pool.
And for the rest of time, the charge of deserter and child of a deserter will be attached to him and his children.
And if the fool comes back, even 50 years from now, the desertion charge will be waiting for him.
