Absolutely not. I'm with you on that. Dreier is carrying water for Bush's nutty amnesty plan and it ticks ne off, too. Yes, hold his feet to the fire, just don't end up with a Dem in his seat because that would be even worse...
So don't start talking about firing him before you've found an ELECTABLE replacement.
Karl Rove and the State Republican party will see to it that no real conservative challenges Dreier for his seat.
But if one does, they (the state party, et al) will back Dreier all the way and the Kool-Aid drinkers on this board will moan about replacing an "experienced"(or some other such pablum) Republican with a newbie and how we can't afford an untested person.
I'm unfamiliar with this district but if it is like 90% of congressional districts in this country it is so gerrymandered that only the incumbent party can win it. So with that said beating Drier in a primary, (long shot) won't cost us a seat.
