Those are common street crimes, and can hardly be called terrorist threats. Just ask our Homeland Security dept.

And by the way the prison population and crimes in the USA are overwhelmingly born American citizens. Just ask Bureau of Prisons.

People are not willing to give illegal aliens access to government freebies (hence the popularity of Propositions 187 and 200), but they're not willing to throw someone in jail for hiring an illegal alien.

It's not just Judicial Activists to blame Poohbah, imo.

It's called "jury nullification," and there are a lot of folks on FR who support that concept right up to the moment that someone gets acquitted for hiring illegal aliens.

It's like Prohibition: the Volstead Act made manufacture, possession, and sale of alcoholic beverages illegal, but the public at large didn't think that these were crimes.
