(weeping) I can't help it, I miss Duke Nukem. And Doom. And Blood. And Descent.

For shooting things at close range, I'd rather nominate the humble sawed-off shotgun, though, rather than the crossbow. It's so, so, freeing. But if you're in God mode, the bazooka is more satisfying.

Mmmmmmmm - baz-ZOOOOOO-ka...

This might be just the ticket, no Lazer beams or other nonsense, just basic firearms and Small Squad Tactics.

One of the most enjoyable games I have played, cheap, easy to find opponents and best of all, you arent playing aginst some Computers AI, it's real people.

Cheers,

Yeah, I love 'em all too. Just wish that I didn't have to keep talking to some idiot wearing a Fez.

Why miss em? there are playable multi level demos available at WWW.DOSGAMES.COM Of course you'll need Windows 98,DOS, or a couple or three emulators to run em on your modern system. Some of them will even work in XP but that's the exception rather than the rule.Descent will run on my XP system without sound.

Shotguns do eliminate the drudgery of having to aim, without a doubt.
