I understand the confusion about post 50 on a 17 post thread. However, I am still confused about the true post 50.

You reference 9-11 commission report page 16. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1295734/posts?page=50#50 By this, I assume that you are referring to the $10 report (a point that rankles me, as we paid for the commission and now we pay for the report! but i digress) published by W.W. Norton. To my understanding, this is the standard report edition.

Here is where the problem begins. Page 16 of this edition is a discussion of the FAA/NORAD mission and structure. The immigration status of the hijackers is not mentioned.

Please clarify what edition you are using. If it is the edition sold in bookstores and available in libraries, please explain the discrepancy in your cite.

I use the government internet site. It's always nearby and has a search feature.

" how about Tokyo Rose instead of bayourod? "

If you're implying that I am a traitor perhaps you should pause a moment to consider that I am on the side of the President, Vice-President, all the Republican Senate and House leadership, the majority of Republican Senate and House members and the majority of the Republican party.

The anti-Hispanic posters on FR are a very tiny minority who have to ping each other for moral support.

I'm sorry but at the low end, 60% of Americans want tighter borders. Our political leadership is at odds with the vast majority of the nation on this issue.

Looking at the PDF provided on that link, page 16 is either 1. (using the PDF pagination) a blank page or 2. (using the pagination on the PDF pages) again describes NORAD and FAA structure, not immigration status.

Again, Bayou, I am disturbed by the fact that your citation does not appear to line up with the source.

We need to be staying on this and posting this in FR.

Freepers should go to www.numbersusa.com and sign up to send FREE faxes to Congress and the White House to protect our borders. They provide canned faxes and email you when you need to fax and who to fax. It is very EASY to do.

The War on Terror is a joke if we do not protect the borders. Use numbersusa.com free fax service to help Rep. Hunter & Sensenbrenner and to tell the RINO's & Presidente Jorge Pedro Bush-Fox that we are serious about the borders.

Another RINO post. Mohammed Atta had a bench warrant arrest in Broward County due to speeding and not having his license. Democrat Broward County did nothing to deport or even arrest him.

Sensenbrenner is a patriot.

He is a shill for El Presidente Jorge Bush-Fox. And yes I contributed money to the RNC and volunteered many hours to help Senor Bush-Fox win.

We must leave the borders open senor.

"I'm sorry but at the low end, 60% of Americans want tighter borders."

How many want passage of the Intelligence Bill held up Sensenbrenner's amendment. How many would agree to his proposal that no driver's licenses issued by certain states could be used to board an air plane?

Can you name the airlines and airports that would be closed down if Sensenbrenner's bill was law?

Saying people want "tighter borders" is like polling for "mom and apple pie."

President Bush and Homeland Security have increased border security immensely. But their priority is to stop terrorists. The anti-Hispanic posters don't really care about terrorists, they want Mexican gardeners stopped.

Example: The front line on stopping terrorists from breaching our borders is to deny them the state support necessary for them to train, plan, recruit, finance, prepare, etc... for attacks inside our borders. Our troops in Iraq are our first line of defense, but the anti-Hispanics want those troops brought back to line the border in order to keep out Mexican laborers. (ala Buchanan)

Bayourod, I have some remnant of respect for you because I have seen you rationally post on other issues. However, your constant race baiting (come on, you can do better than the Julian Bond debate school) and inability to verify your supposed cite from the 9/11 report are making you look more and more like an ideologue who finds facts to be an annoying inconvenience.

What will stop the Mexican gardeners, will also tend to stop those with more sinister things on their mind than onions and carrots from crashing the borders. Namely enforcement action that is not spread so thin as to be an utterly ridiculous laughable joke.

Sorry, I'm not well versed in the use of Adobe. Try this link http://www.9-11commission.gov/staff_statements/911_TerrTrav_Monograph.pdf and look on p.16 using the adobe page counter or p. 8 of the number appearing on the text.

More La Raza talking points from bayourod! Actually, Freepers aren't concerned about keeping out Mexican gandeners and laborers, as long as they come here legally. FReepers want to keep out Mexican illegal alien lawbreakers (along with illegal alien lawbreakers from all other countries).

"What will stop the Mexican gardeners, will also tend to stop those with more sinister things on their mind "

Not necessarily so. Terrorists don't enter the same way gardeners do. Too risky, expensive, inconvenient...etc..

None of the 9/11 hijackers nor any of over one hundred indicted on terrorist related activities in the last three years entered the way gardeners do.

The objective is not to let the terrorists get within a thousand miles of our border, not try to tag them at the border.

9/11 Commission Report p. 8:
"Overview of the hijackers’ entries
The hijackers successfully entered the United States 33 of 34 times, with the first arriving on January 15, 2000, at Los Angeles International Airport.
All others entered through 8 airports on the East Coast, including 11 entries through New York area airports and 12 through Florida airports.

The four pilots passed through immigration and customs inspections a total of 17 times from May 29, 2000, to August 5, 2001. Ziad Jarrah was the most frequent border crosser, entering the United States seven times.
Mohamed Atta and Marwan al Shehhi came in three times each, entering for the last time on May 2 and July 19, 2001, respectively.
Hani Hanjour was the only hijacker to enter on an academic visa, arriving on December 8, 2000. He had already attended both English and flight training schools in the United States during three stays in the 1990s. Hanjour was also the only pilot who already had a commercial pilot’s license prior to entry, having acquired it in 1999 in Arizona."

Hijackers are much more sophisticated than gardeners and have the advantage of nation state support. The place to start closing our borders to terrorists is Iraq, Iran, Syria,etc..., continuing through overseas internatational airports including Mexico, not wasting unnecessary resources on gardners jumping the fence in El Paso.
