It's interesting that none of the songs on the list have anything to do with Christianity, but focus on the other side of the holiday.

Nat King Cole's rendition of the Christmas Song is mesmerizing.

We all have our own lists.

I like the Little Drummer Boy.

So, you're saying you don't think "Santa Baby" is exactly the right sentiment for this upcoming holiday, eh?

My two favorite liberal Christmas songs:

First, "Do You Hear What I hear?" It contains a perfect summary of liberal welfare philosophy.
"A Child, A Child
Shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold"
How in the world are silver and gold going to help a child to get warm? Did anybody think of...say...I dunno...A BLANKET, maybe?!? No, let's spend all sorts of money for something that does absolutely nothing to solve the problem at hand.

Second, the perfect summary of liberal thology is in "Here Comes Santa Claus".
"Santa knows we're all God's children
That makes everything right"
Yes, since God made us all, there's no such thing as sin, evil, right, or wrong. Divorce, abortion, homosexuality, materialism...NO PROBLEM. You can't possibly judge someone else's behavior, or identify right and wrong, since we're all God's children, right?

Anybody have other nominees?

The reason for no religious Christmas songs is that most of them are very old and thus not earning royalties for the composers. The list seemed to be pulled from ASCAPs membership/published list.

You mean the upcoming holiday season has something to do with Christianity. I thought it was all about Santa, Rudolph, and Frosty....

"none of the songs on the list have anything to do with Christianity"

The way to FIX this is:

1. Tell RETAILERS you are not going to shop if they play P-C Muzac and their competitors. They have a huge CHOICE in what they select for their clients' soundtracks.

2. Taking the Leftists out of the rotations means they get fewer ROYALTIES to continue scoffing and loathing on our nickel (via monies paid to Retailers--then Muzak--then the artists!).

3. Barrage the Muzak type companies and let THEM know of the boycott of their customers and that you are communicating with them as well. This is a direct threat to their bread-and-butter.

4. Monitor the Top 25 list henceforth for fraudulent manipulation of the list. Anticipate it and confront it. (Same goes for the NYTimes bestseller list and movie sales lists.)

Guns to the head are effective. Pull the shopping and information 'triggers' God gave you! Socialism takes away more types of guns than are covered by the Second Amendment.

Yeah, it is sad that no new real Christman song has been written lately.

You know, I've always liked that song. I think you just ruined it for me

What a frickin' joke!!!

#1.  I Saw Three Ships, Nat King Cole

#2.  Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy, Bing Crosby and David Bowie.

Didn't make the top 25 for a bunch of hacks, I don't even know who they are.

I've been pointing that out to my family for years. I've just never heard anyone else mention it. You have an interesting take on the words.

Oh Holy Night is also one of my favorites. I have an old Pavarotti tape that I listen to over and over just for that song.
